This month, I'm trying out two new products from Althea Korea. Read more to find out what they are!
Last December, I received my first set of Althea products, officially becoming an Althea Angel. The items I got were all from their own product range, namely the Petal Velvet Powder (in #0 Translucent, #23 Warm Beige, and the limited edition Pink Lavender), Petal Velvet Sunaway, and Milk Peel Cream Mask. This time, they sent me the new Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser and the Stay Fresh Body Sparkling Mist, a collaboration they made with Indonesian star Titi Kamal.
Priced at Php 430, the Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser is a hydrating cleanser that moisturizes the skin, purifies pores, and balances the ph level for a healthier skin complexion. It combines the power of a cleanser and serum - a pretty amazing product if you ask me. It deeply cleanses the skin by gently melting away makeup residue without causing any irritations and exfoliates dead skin with the purifying powers of mint extract.
The Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser also has a dual moisture cell system - basically a serum-like formula that envelopes the skin and helps keep it hydrated from deep within.
To use, all you have to do is dampen the skin and apply a small amount onto it. Gently massage in circular motions for 5 to 10 seconds before rinsing with water. Sounds simple enough, right?
My favorite thing about this product is that it is able to prevent the skin from drying out and effectively minimize enlarged pores (which has always been my problem), keeping it smooth to the touch. Best of all, it's gentle on the face and suitable even for those of us with sensitive skin.
As amazing as the Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser is, I'd have to admit that I've been using the Stay Fresh Body Sparkling Mist a lot more. As I mentioned earlier, it's a collaboration between Althea and Titi Kamal, an Indonesian actress and singer with 7.8 million followers on Instagram. The Stay Fresh Body Sparkling Mist is a sparkling mix of sweet orange and peach, followed by an ever-graceful echo of rosy floral notes. Not overbearingly strong, this gentle perfume lingers on the body for a long-lasting scent. It also has a non-sticky formula that feels comfortable on the skin, and it embodies the elegance and beauty of Titi in a bottle, perfect for the urban femme.
I have no idea how to describe scents, but I absolutely love this one. I've been using it every day and even brought it with me on a cruise! There, I had the opportunity to purchase scents from brands like Bvlgari and Dolce & Gabbana at 40% off, but I chose not to, because I realized I like Stay Fresh a lot more and at Php 450, I can repurchase it ten times over (versus one bottle of Bvlgari Omnia at regular price).
