Marshmallow Butterscotch Brownies

Last week, I created these delicious Marshmallow Butterscotch Brownies while waiting for my sister to wake up. These would probably be my favorite out of everything I made so far - see Red Velvet Crookies, Nutella Brownies, and Cheesecake Balls - not only because they're the yummiest (in my book, at least), but also because I didn't really know what I was doing the entire time. I kept telling myself "bahala na" so I was really happy when they turned out exactly how I wanted them to - chewy and moist. 

Experience First Class at Aria Nail Lounge

Being that I love traveling and always look forward to discovering new places, I visited Aria Nail Lounge in Quezon City just a few days ago.

 

Aria Nail Lounge was opened in March 2013 by sisters Lorraine and Sheryl with the aim of providing a first class nail spa, waxing and massage service at an affordable price. They wanted to differentiate themselves from other nail spas by having a unique theme/design that will give the feel of being exclusive, classy, relaxing and first class. So they came up with an airplane-themed nail spa. Oohh, interesting, right?

Wooden Spoon: Worth Raving About

Mike had been raving about Wooden Spoon ever since he got to eat there with his family over a month ago. So when our schedules finally permitted, he brought me to Katipunan Avenue so I can try it out for myself! :)

Since he already had an idea of what he wanted to eat, it didn't take long for us to send in our order and the food to arrive.

My Big Brand Sale Haul

Dropped by the Big Brand Sale at the Pinoy Big Brother Concert Hall with Mike yesterday, guess what I ended up buying??

Magazines! FOOD magazines, to be exact! Hahaha!

Take a Bite

I just realized that it's already Friday and I haven't done a post on what I made in the kitchen last week yet. So here it is!

I actually worked on these bite-sized cheesecake balls, which will make for perfect gift ideas or just to eat with your friends. All you need: oreos, cream cheese, and chocolate. :)

La Creperie Boheme

A few weeks ago, La Creperie opened a new branch in New Manila, located at 66-D Broadway Avenue. When Joy invited me to have lunch with one of the owners, I really didn't know what to expect. I've never been to La Creperie before and I had no idea what kind of food they offered (aside from crepes, of course). Good thing my schedule was wide open that afternoon because the dishes that we got to try were absolutely delicious!

Picnic Breakfast Date!

My boyfriend and I went on a picnic date one Sunday at the UP Sunken Garden while waiting for his friends to arrive for their weekly football game. I seldom get to watch him play because I'm a lazy bum and I find it so hard to leave the house when my family's there resting and being lazy too. :P So props for me for getting ready waaay before Mike picked me up that morning. 

Tablea Cheesecake from Pino Bar

Em invited us to her birthday lunch at Pino Bar a few weeks back. Since I was seated with seven guys, most of our food disappeared before I was even able to take my camera out of my bag! Haha, I'm just kidding. I didn't actually care about taking pictures then because I was already starving when the food arrived :p 

Glad to have gotten a photo of their Tablea Cheesecake though. It inspired me to make something cheesecake-related (which I did today!) Will post about that next week :)

Easy Peasy Nutella Brownies

Remember when I made Red Velvet Crinkle Cookies last week? Well, this week, I decided to make Nutella Brownies! :) Though I'm not a big fan of the hazelnut/cocoa spread, my siblings love it. Plus it was a welcome change from our usual banana, blueberry, and chocolate fudge cake mixes, so I figured, why not? :p

The first thing I did was to look up some Nutella Brownie recipes online. I was so happy when I found this "3 Ingredient Nutella Brownies," a recipe that only calls for three simple ingredients - Nutella, flour and eggs! And since I don't plan on quitting my weekly baking habits anytime soon, I'm all for easy recipes.

Believe it or not, I finished preparing the entire thing in just 30 minutes! :)

Lazy Week

I need to get out and shoot again. Being stuck here at home isn't doing me any good. 

Will go back to regular programming tomorrow. I promise. :)
