#QuakerStrongRecipes: Quaker Oats Cream Pie

Recently made something deliciously healthy in the kitchen with Quaker Oats!

Last week, Quaker sent over some products along with a box of ingredients needed to create my very own Quaker Oats Cream Pie using the recipe by Chef Miko Aspiras.
To be honest, it felt like a daunting task at first, especially since I haven't baked in a long time and I'm very much pregnant so it's been difficult to move and I get tired easily. But I accepted the challenge, after all, I grew up eating Quaker Oats and still love it until now.
I also realized how important it is to watch what we eat, especially now that a lot of us are stuck at home with all these temptations to just have food delivered or to try out certain food trends that aren't necessarily healthy. If we can create something delicious at home while staying conscious of its health benefits, then all the better. This is where Quaker comes in.

Quaker, the world’s number 1 oatmeal brand, is here to make your quarantine kitchen experiments equally delicious as they are nutritious. Known as a supergrain, oats are a natural source of iron, which is essential for building immunity against diseases. To help you meet or fulfill the daily recommended intake of iron in your body, oats can easily be integrated into your meals. Apart from breakfast, oats can be taken as a complement to savory meals, and of course, can make your desserts a little less sinful, proving its versatility. One example of that is the recipe we're doing today: the Quaker Oats Cream Pie.
If you're also interested in making this at home, you can pre-order your very own Quaker Oats Cream Pie kit through this link. It was actually pretty easy to make once you have all the ingredients! Below I shared some photos of the process, but you can also check out the videos I took on my Instagram stories here.
The Quaker Oats Cream Pie wasn't difficult to make at all. The recipe included in the kit was pretty straightforward and for the ingredients, all you have to purchase is egg and butter as they aren't in the kit (but these are things that you normally already have at home, so you should be okay).
The result was chewy and surprisingly tasty cookies! I may have burned some of the edges, but my brother was very happy to take care of those. In fact, he loved the slightly burnt cookies more since they had a crunch to them.
For the cream filling, I tweaked the recipe a bit to lessen the sweetness. Also, the texture didn't come out as fluffy as I didn't have a mixer at home, but it was still really yummy.
I'm really glad at how this turned out and that I was able to make something delicious and healthy that the family can snack on anytime of the day!
