Finally got to bring Tim to Old Swiss Inn! I've been raving about them since February, so I'm really happy we got to visit them together before the year ended. I was supposed to have him try my favorites like the Gnagi and Smoked Scamorza, but when the staff came over to give us the menu, we saw that they have an unlimited Christmas offering, the Fondue Smorgasbord!

Since we were there for dinner, we decided to go for the Fondue Smorgasbord set which includes the unlimited Swiss cheese fondue, prime beef tenderloin cubes dipped in oil, and the Toblerone fondue! SOBRANG PANALO.

I was planning on skipping this but Tim told me to try it, so I had some and soon enough, the entire plate was empty. Didn't bother asking for a refill because up next was the CHEESE! :D
Waatlander Fondue
Gaahhhhh I couldn't get enough of this cheese!! I absolutely loved the combination of melted Gruyere and Emmental cheese laced with kirsch. It was really good with the bread cubes, too!
I wiped this clean. As in. C L E A N. Sorry not sorry :)) Diet will have to wait until next year :P
Fondue Bourguignonne
If you're there for dinner, cheese isn't enough; you've got to get the meat as well. Their prime beef tenderloin cubes is served raw, so you cook it by dipping it in hot oil. Old Swiss Inn also serves it with a carousel of sauces - my favorites are the garlic mayo, mushroom gravy, and tomato concassy.
The cooking time is really short at first, when the oil's still boiling hot. It only takes a few seconds for the meat to turn medium; a minute, maybe, for well done. I would suggest asking the staff to reheat the oil once it has cooled down, otherwise you'll have to wait longer for the meat to cook.
The tenderloin goes really well with the cheese, too, by the way. I scraped the leftover and placed it over the meat, ang sarap sarap!! I wanted to ask for a refill but I knew I wouldn't be able to finish it, so wag nalang. Don't waste food, guys!
Chocolate Toblerone Fondue
Last, but most definitely not the least, the Chocolate Toblerone Fondue. They give you a choice of milk, dark, or white - we went with dark because it's the healthiest option. Haha! It comes with fresh fruits (apples, mangoes, and bananas), homemade marshmallows, and sponge cake!
It's one of the best dates we've had in a while. I think Tim and I were there for over three hours! I highly recommend you guys take advantage of this promo because it's only available until December 30, 2019! Offer's valid from 6pm to 11pm only.
