Summer's here and so are the new variants from Love Beauty, and Planet! Just this weekend, the brand launched their Coconut Oil & Ylang Ylang and Coconut Water & Mimosa Flower lines at SM Beauty in SM Makati.
Love Beauty & Planet was started by a group of like-minded people who believe that looking good and doing good should go hand-in-hand. We are obsessed with fantastic beauty products, those that we would love to use ourselves too. The brand was launched in the United States in 2017 and after two years, it's finally here in the Philippines! In January, they released their first three lines here: the Murumuru Butter and Rose, the Argan Oil and Lavender, and the Tea Tree Oil and Vertiver.

When I heard about Love Beauty and Planet, I immediately went online and purchased my own set of the Tea Tree Oil and Vetiver. The Radical Refresher shampoo and conditioner purifies and revitalizes tired hair, while the body wash is great for deep cleansing. So far, so good. I'm really loving it, especially the scent!

Sounds like brunch, right? Trust us, it's just as good. We've incorporated coconut water, known as a lightweight hydrator, into blends that make skin soft and keep hair strong and full of bounce. The fresh and delicious absolute of honey-scented mimosa flower further enhances the scent experience. (source)
Another great thing about these two collections is the fact that they use Philippine coconuts! Philippine coconut oil, which they acquire from local farmers, is a popular natural moisturizer used all over the world, known to hydrate and repair damaged skin and hair, while coconut water helps revitalize the skin and leave hair hydrated and bouncy. It was very hard to pick between the two, but I eventually ended up with the Coconut Oil and Ylang Ylang.
No worries though because whichever you choose, you'll certainly be protected from the harsh heat of the sun! That's why these are really the perfect collections to release this summer. Great job, LBP!
I actually learned so much from these women who talked about sustainability and doing your part. Every little thing matters. If one million straws end up in the ocean, that's one million people thinking "it's just one straw." DIBA?? It makes so much sense!! I mean, we don't have to completely change overnight, do it step by step. As they say, slowly but surely.

For the summer though, I'm switching it up and using the Coconut Oil & Ylang Ylang. I swear, there are so many good things about this brand, there's really no reason not to support it! Their products are also more affordable compared to other sustainable brands. Their shampoos and conditioners are Php 390 a bottle, while the body wash is Php 290.
