Alita: Battle Angel

AOC and Twentieth Century Fox premiers Alita: Battle Angel

When Jeman of Orange Magazine invited me to be his plus one to the special advance screening of Alita: Battle Angel, I immediately said yes! Ever since I saw the trailer for it, I knew it was going to be one of those very few movies I HAVE to watch on the big screen.

AOC, a global leader in display technology (also the Philippines' number 1 monitor brand in 2017), partnered with Twentieth Century Fox Film for the premier at SM Megamall's IMAX theater.
AOC and AOC Gaming have always been dedicated to the pursuit of the next level of visual and gaming experiences enhanced by innovative technologies. The brand has been partnering with Twentieth Century Fox Film since 2013 to engage viewers in new cinematic adventures by supporting and promoting films like X-Men First Class and The Martian. Combat scenes and the theme of realizing one's own potential are prominent in Alita: Battle Angel, which aligns perfectly with AOC Gaming's vision to help gamers always stay at the top of their game through competition and constant self-optimization.
The movie adaptation of the Japanese manga, Gunnm, proved to be a visual masterpiece with the realistic implementation of CGI, a technical feat which gave an immersive and exhilarating experience in IMAX theater’s 3D movie format. Check this Behind the Scenes video I found:
I personally enjoyed watching the movie. It was all about girl power - with Alita being incredibly strong and having no fear. But to be honest, some parts didn't really align for me, like how she was suddenly so full of certain (love, anger) emotions that I was like, "where the heck did that come from??" But overall, the cinematics, the CGI (I mean, she looks so real beside humans), the storyline, are all great. Props to Rosa Salazar for succesfully bringing Alita to life.
Gamers can now gear up with AOC’s gaming bundle promos where they can avail swags like the AGON Gamer’s jacket, AOC wireless keyboard and mouse combo, AGON cap, and SM Cinema Tickets. You can refer to the promo flyer below for more information.
