Aresi, Subic

For my mom's birthday weekend, we headed to Subic for a quick getaway. Our first stop: Aresi.

Aresi
My brother's friend spoke highly of their pork chop, so we ordered that and more.
Aresi
Nachos (P285)
warm chips topped with homemade sausage, salsa, cheese sauce and jalapeƱos
Aresi
That cheese sauce mixed with the salsa made all the difference. Loved this!
Aresi
Rosemary and Lemongrass Chicken (P365)
roasted chicken that's simply delicious with a distinct flavor
Aresi
Deviled Chicken Italiano (P385)
a fiery favorite with a light spice and tomato salsa, served over light pasta
Aresi
We almost didn't order this because my dad wanted the Rosemary and Lemongrass Chicken. Good thing I forced my way and got both instead! As flavorful as the roasted rosemary chicken was, we all agreed that the Deviled Chicken Italiano was the better chicken dish, because it was more tender, and it wasn't dry, like the former was. It also came with a side serving of pasta, which wasn't bad at all.

Grilled Double Cut Porkchop (P385)
thick yet perfectly cooked inside and out
Aresi
Here it is, the famous porkchop. To be honest, I didn't like this very much because it was too thick. I don't know why people would prefer double cut over two thinly sliced portions. I guess it depends on how it's cooked? Which reminds me, it took the kitchen twenty minutes to get our orders out. Considering we were the only customers at the time, that's just too long.
Aresi
All Meat Paella (P395)
with chorizo, chicken, smoked bacon, and sausage
Aresi
There was something about the taste that was kinda off, but my dad seemed to love it. I'm not sure how to explain it exactly, it must've been from the chorizo. If I had a choice, I would've gone with black ink instead.

Java Java (P135)
Aresi
Aresi is located at Court Meridian Hotel, Waterfront Road corner Rojas St. Central Business District, Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Philippines.
