After testing our creativity with the bento-making workshop at LES Bagels, we moved on to my favorite restaurant at Podium Mall – Borough.
New York City is famously known for the distinctiveness of each of its boroughs. Although they're different, these neighborhoods are still, in fact, a community, and that's what Borough is all about. Since its opening, Borough has become a friendly, neighborhood meeting place wherein people from the Ortigas area come together for meals and drinks – an unpretentious feel-good spot where both office people and residents can enjoy all day brunch, lunch, dinner, and even late night snacks. Oops, did I forget to mention that Borough is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week??? Awesome, right???
The vibe is very warm and inviting with eclectic interiors, upbeat/soothing music, friendly staff and an overall feeling of affability. It’s a comfort zone, a sanctuary for many people amidst the hustle and bustle of the city.
Here's a quick run-through of what we had, although if you want a more detailed review, check out my Borough Quiz Night post!
