Outback Steakhouse

Where do you go when you're craving for steak? To Outback, of course!

Well, at least that's where Tim suggested we eat the last time we were at Eastwood. Outback Steakhouse
The meal began with their complimentary starter - the Honey Wheat Bushman Bread.

I googled this because I wasn't sure how it's spelled and found out that it's really popular - to the point that people have tried to copy and replicate it. Personally, I thought the bread was really soft, obviously freshly baked. With or without butter, I'd eat it. Unfortunately, Tim ate most of it, the only piece I got is the one I'm holding in the photo. :P

The wings tasted like normal buffalo wings, so that's okay. What really disappointed me was the calamares. The breading had very little flavor, which naturally didn't reach the inside/squid. Sure, they served it with bleu cheese and marinara dip, but dips are supposed to just compliment a dish and not be its only source of flavor.

Toowoomba Pasta (P499)

Contrary to its description, it was all cream with very little tomato sauce. I was expecting a light pasta dish, but it felt like I was eating carbonara. To be fair, when I brought it up with the staff, they offered to re-cook the dish for me, but I declined, since they mentioned that it was supposed to taste that way talaga. Not really sure how recooking would've changed it, so I ended up mixing some of the marinara dip into it instead. Hahaha!

Tim ordered the Outback Special (P1049 for 8oz).

To be honest, I'm not very particular when it comes to steak. I don't order it often enough to know all that much. But this one was of good quality, which Tim completely devoured. He had the baked potato while I enjoyed the mashed potato with some A1 Sauce (I love A1!)
