Kitchenails, Trinoma

Kitchenails
Good news to all the girls up north! A nail spa just opened its doors in Trinoma Mall and it's called Kitchenails

It's their second branch to date - the first being in Alabang Town Center. Kitchenails is a culinary-themed nail spa, and I'm so thrilled (underlined and italicized!) that Trinoma now has a nail spa of its own. I honestly can't recall them ever having one, so this is a huge deal, especially to north girls like me! Bonding in Trinoma is no longer limited to just eating and window shopping; thanks to Kitchenails, we can include getting our nails done to the list as well!

I love getting pampered, it's just a great way to relieve stress. I'm sure all women would agree. But let's not forget that not all nail spas are created equally. There are certain factors which I take into consideration when picking one, like cleanliness, service, and ambiance. Most places don't have it all, but from what I've experienced at Kitchenails the other day, I can definitely say they rank high in my book.

What I loved the most about Kitchenails is its concept. Their interiors is much like that of a home - warm, comforting, welcoming - with many kitchen equipment and utensils displayed all over.

Kitchenails is made up of three spacious rooms - the receiving area, the main services area, and a spa party area. So if you're looking to surprise a dear friend with a bridal or a baby shower, you may want to consider them. It's pretty accessible via car or public transportation, especially since Trinoma is the MRT's last stop. For reservations/inquiries, you may send them a message through their Facebook page.

I got to try one of their Chef's Specials, the Candied Oranges, a unique and incredible blend of mandarin honey, citrus, and spices that will surely tingle and tickle your senses. Lina picked the Verry Berry Muffin, while Mish went with the Spiced Plum Pannacotta. Doesn't everything sound delicious?? Looking through their menu made me hungryyy! Note to self: make sure to eat before visiting Kitchenails. Haha!

And how cute are their utensils? They make use of actual kitchen items like baking pans, whisks, spatulas, oil brushes, and more.

They even have empty cookie jars available so you can place your accessories into them, like rings, bracelets, and watches while you get pampered.

From what I noticed, there is a process and a flow to everything they do, much like in a restaurant.
The first step: they take your order.

Your order will include a waiver and a checklist of your preferences - which services you're availing, what shape you want your nails cut, or what kind of massage you want.

After taking your order, the chef prepares the ingredients needed then passes you on to the nail technician who then starts by cleaning your hands with soap in warm water. The scrub came next; Ate Imelda had very light hands so I was completely relaxed the entire time. Mine came in mandarin honey scent, and it's organic! I love it!

Next came the icing time. It's the part where they spread mask all over your arms then eventually wrap them in cling wrap (which they call baking time).

Baking time takes ten minutes. Like a real baker, they make use of timers! I really like how they stick to their theme throughout the process. Another thing I love is how they call their clients "Queen" or "Princess." It makes you feel extra special. ♥♥

Once ten minutes has passed, you're finally fully baked! Using a warm towel, Ate Imelda carefully removed the cling wrap and wiped the mask off. My hands immediately felt smoother and it looked whiter. I kid you not!

After cutting, cleaning, and buffing my nails, I was given a complimentary massage. I chose the signature massage which is a combination of Swedish, acupressure, and detox massage. The massage lasted about 3-5 minutes for both hands. Bitin!

For my polish, I went with LA Colors Raspberry. It looks hot pink in the photo but it's really more of a red violet shade.

I had such a great time! Thank you, Kitchenails, for the amazing pampering session and congratulations once again! Will be back soon! :)
