Travel Diaries: Dingalan, Aurora

Aurora, PH
If I had two words to describe Dingalan, it would be jaw-droppingly beautiful.

As to why there aren't a lot of articles on it on the web, I don't know. I guess that's for the best - the less commercialized it is, the better we can preserve its natural beauty. Here are just some photos I took during that two-day trip, starting with the highest point at Fort Magsaysay.

The route we took to get to Umiray Bridge wasn't so bad either. Check out that view!Aurora, PH
It would've been a great day to swim on the beach, unfortunately, the waves just wouldn't cooperate.

So we went straight to Umiray Bridge, the bridge that connects Aurora to Quezon Province. If you're planning to drive here from Aurora, prepare yourself for a bumpy ride. P.S. It's well worth it!

We saw a lot of people having picnics and swimming under the bridge. Who could blame them? It was crazy hot out that day. To be honest, I felt a bit jealous, they looked like they were having so much fun! :)

Lucky for us, a lady passed by selling ice scramble. It's been a long while since I last had any, and hers was mango-flavored, too! Thank you, Dingalan!

Our last stop for the day was this secret picnic place / swimming grounds at Lipit.

When you're in the province, places like this are the best way to cool off!

People come here using different modes of transportation - from motorcycles to jeepneys to 4x4s.

Too bad we weren't able to go to Abungan Falls or the lighthouse at Brgy. Paltic we've been hearing so much about! We had to leave a day early because a typhoon was expected to hit Aurora that weekend. I so wish we could've stayed longer!

Oh well, I guess that just means we'll have to come back some other time. Yay!:)

A big thank you to the people behind Fil Dane Inn for the warm welcome and showing us around town! Read more about our Dingalan adventure on When in Manila.com! :)
