Dubbed as the cleanest lake in Asia, Kayangan Lake is a must-visit when you're in Coron, Palawan. To get there, we had to go on a 15-minute climb (about 200 steps), since the lake is located on the other side. It can be pretty tiring, but it's definitely one of the places you have to see (and swim in) when you're in Coron. The view from the top is an added bonus; seeing the rock formations, the trees, the crazy clear waters, and the boats coming in from different directions was absolutely amazing. Just being at the lake will make you feel like you're at a private pool in the middle of nowhere. People are relaxing and minding their own business, enjoying their moments with nature. Sigh. I miss the peacefulness of it all. It was that beautiful.
Kayangan Lake is on top of my list of favorite places in Coron along with Twin Lagoon. I don't have photos of the latter since we had to swim to get to the lagoon itself, so you'll just have to trust me when I tell you to include these two places in your tours! We were so blessed to have arrived when everyone was just leaving, so we had the lagoon all to ourselves for a good 30 minutes. Usually, one visit to a province is enough for me, but I wouldn't mind going to Coron again in the near future.
