Recent Deals: Books by Best-selling Authors

image

Lucky me saw these books on sale at P50 ($1.20) each at a local bookstore a couple of weeks ago. :D

YAAY I'm so excited to read these! My goal is to read 15 books this year and I’m only on book 5.
I really need to pick up the pace.

Find me on Goodreads here. :)

Moving In, Moving On

Hey everyone!

Due to the many limitations of Tumblr, I have decided to move my blog here. And since the address http://technicolorful.blogspot.com was already taken, I had to go with my name. I will still update my Tumblr from time to time, but please note that http://bettinabacani.blogspot.com will be my new home moving forward.

Right now, I am (1) slowly importing my old site; (2) exploring Blogger so I can personalize my layout more; and (3) watching Spartacus. My Tumblr layout did not make use of a banner, so I made a temporary banner (the one you see above) until I decide on a more suitable one :)

Will miss my Tumblr, but we all have to move on eventually.

xx,
Bettina

Edit as of 2:50pm: I have decided on my new banner!

Life is definitely in technicolor!

Happy Father's Day!

Posted a different photo (crazy dad + more embarrassing me) on my *private* Facebook page… just so I can control the number of people who will judge our family’s wackiness :P

I love my dad. I love my dad. I love my dad. I love my dad. ♥♥♥

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there!;)

Bridesmaid Dresses

My cousin’s getting married in December and has chosen me to be one of her bridesmaids for her big day. We’re meeting up tomorrow to have our measurements taken and honestly, I have no idea what to expect. I don’t know what the color scheme is going to be, or if we’re even choosing the style we want for the dresses. But since I’m such an obedient daughter, I’m going to listen to my mom’s advice and start looking for possible options for my dress/gown.

Option #1: Strapless dresses (Found here and here)

This one’s too gorgeous to pass up! It’s actually on sale, too, for $99.99 if anyone wants it! ;)

image
Pastels! Particularly the 3rd and 4th ones :)

Option #2: Sage Summer Maxi Dress (etsy.com)

image
A simple maxi dress, perhaps too simple? Also, not sure if I can survive a day with my top this exposed. :P

Option #3 - Lace Dress with Illusion Neckline (Both found here)

imageimage
I like the first one more though :)

Option #5 - One-shoulder Chiffon/Satin dresses (Found here and here)

imageimage
Or these could work too (Found here, here and here)

Mmhmm, Obviously someone likes one-shoulder dresses. /raises hand

Option #6 - Halter Dresses (Found here and here)

imageimage
Though this has been my go-to style since I started attending parties, so it’s probably best to skip this option and try something new :P

And finally, these.

Particularly options 3, 4 and 5 (found here).

SO MANY CHOICES. /le sigh

At least I’ll have the night to think this through. Wish me luck! :)

Dream Day Friday - Week 6

Arrrgggh. What is happening to the world? Recently, I’ve been seeing so many online shops selling camera-related items. I’m starting to worry that maybe I’ve gotten a bit obsessed with these things. Notice if you look at all my DDF posts, at least half of them has the word “camera" on it. And that’s not all - here are some more items I stumbled on the last few days:

1. This Dear Self SLR camera strap by Abbey Sy for Punchdrunk Panda (P595)

image

2. These adorable tote bags from H.E.A.R.T. by artistic-dreams (P350)

imageimage

3. This customized ribbon ring from The Kneutral Collection (P120)

I know it’s not camera-related, but I wanted to share this because my friend Kia and her sister Kat owns this store. Oh, but maybe they can make something that has a camera on it, too!! (didn’t really think of that until now :o)

Ahhh, why must stores sell such pretty things? (well, because they need to make money, etc etc, but you get what I mean) *_*

Also, I’m happy to share that I have already purchased some film (DDF Week 1) and the two bags I wanted (DDF Week 2) a few weeks ago! Pretty psyched ‘cause Dream Day Friday is actually working :) I’m able to control my spendings a bit more knowing I have this list of things I’d like to get my hands on. So YAAAY ME! :D

Nail Cocktales Hand and Foot Spa

Last Mother’s Day, my mom, my sister and I celebrated over lunch. Whenever the three of us go out, it’s always fun because I get to do the driving - and therefore, the planning as well! It’s our opportunity to get to try out a new restaurant or get a massage/have our nails done (talk about girl bonding!). Luckily, that day was no different. :) After tons of food, photos, and laughter, we took our usual route home along Tomas Morato. For the nth time, we passed by Nail Cocktales Hand and Foot Spa - a place I’ve been wanting to visit ever since I set eyes on their beautiful teal-colored logo. Good thing my mom and my sister are as spontaneous as I am when it comes to these things, so we ended up spending that afternoon there. :)

Since I enjoyed my time there so much, two weeks later, I found myself back to get some much needed pampering.
Nail Cocktales
Nail Cocktales opened its doors to the public in October 25, 2012 through the vision of Ms. Agnes Buena. She wanted to create a space that offers a unique experience that clients will keep coming back to. Her aim is to make each and every visit a pleasurable one by providing clients with a relaxing environment, organic options in their services and of course, affordable prices.

Say Hello to the End

Before we bid adieu to summer, here are some photos I took from my previous trips to the beach. This year, I’ve only gone out of town once, and that was to Sabang Beach a few days ago. A bit late into summer, but better late than never, right? :P Also, I have another trip booked a month from now. I’m pretty excited to spend a couple of days away from the hustle and bustle, and just relax with some friends.
