Check out the newest dishes at Hanamaruken Ramen today!
Just last week, my friends and I headed over to Hanamaruken Ramen at The Grove to try out their new menu items. It was my first time at Hanamaruken and from what I tasted that afternoon, it certainly won't be the last.
Hanamaruken, a time-honored ramen chain, hails from the streets of Osaka, Japan. Famous for its "Happiness Ramen," made by the family of butchers that own the chain, that uses a specific cut of the soft bone meat in the ramen broth. Hanamaruken serves signature ramen varieties unmatched in quality and flavor. (source)
Gotta go back for that Happiness Ramen. I'm glad that Hanamaruken also has branches in Trinoma and Alabang Town Center, so at least, wherever I am in the metro, I can easily visit them for that ramen fix.
Iced Green Tea (P80)
Edamame Stir Fry (P180)
Chicken Karaage (P380)
The Iced Green Tea is the perfect drink for humid days as it is very light and refreshing. I also recommend pairing it with the Edamame Stir Fry. You'll definitely enjoy the slight kick - I know I did. Unfortunately, I didn't get to try the Chicken Karaage as the mains soon arrived, so I decided to just skip this one altogether.
Ebi Ramen (P580)
If you're looking for something warm and comforting, the Ebi Ramen is a good choice. It has pan-seared tiger prawn in rich and creamy prawn broth with aji tamago. It's a pretty heavy bowl of noodles, so I suggest ordering just one to share with a friend (unless you're extremely hungry, then by all means, go for it!)
Hiyashi Ebi with Soy Sesame Dressing (P380)
Compared to the Ebi Ramen, this one is much lighter and easier on the flavors. It's not overly seasoned so you'll really get to appreciate the chilled noodles over the soy yuzu sauce with cucumber.
Double-Egg Oyakodon (P290)
Now if you want something with rice, their new Double-Egg Oyakodon might be the one for you. Here, they have diced chicken simmered in sweet savory sauce and soft-cooked egg topped with sous vide egg (and of course, a lot of rice to go with it.)
Bacon, Tomato, and Egg Soba (P350)
Last, but not the least, the Bacon, Tomato, and Egg Soba. When I first saw this on the menu I wasn't so sure I'd like it since I couldn't really imagine tomatoes with soba, but it works. The soba noodles are topped with slow-cooked tomatoes, house tare, thick-cut smoky bacon, and a poached egg. Mix it all up and you kind of get a Japanese carbonara.
Even though we were already full, we just couldn't leave without trying their new desserts! These lava cakes are the first desserts on Hanamaruken's menu and they were love at first bite! I honestly couldn't decide which one I liked more.
Matcha Lava Cake and Choco Lava Cake with Ice Cream (Php 180 each)
Do take the time to visit Hanamaruken Ramen, I promise you won't regret it ;)
Hanamaruken Ramen is located at The Grove By Rockwell, E. Rodriguez Jr. Avenue, Pasig City.
