The first of its kind in Manila!
Menya Kokoro is a mazesoba (literally translated as "mixed noodles") shop that started in Tokyo, Japan, in 2013. Only a year after it first opened, it was awarded as Tokyo's number 1 Mazesoba because of the uniqueness and richness of its ramen - and it's all thanks to Chef Takuma Ishikawa. To be honest, I didn't think much of it as first, but after having a bite of their mazesoba, I now understand what all the hype is about!
Mazesoba is fast becoming a popular trend in Japan, and maybe here, too, in the near future, since it's being received quite well so far. Its first store is located at Uptown Mall, but hopefully they'll have other stores around Manila real soon.
As much as I love my Butao King, I'm totally happy with Menya Kokoro as well. After all, it is a completely different type of ramen. Since it's broth-less, all the flavor is on the noodles, you just have to mix and slurp!
They also provide you with sauces that you can use to alter the flavor of your noodles. And when you're almost done, they'll give you a bowl of Japanese rice (oimeshi) which you then mix with whatever's left of your mazesoba. It's like eating a new meal altogether!
As of now, they have six types of mazesoba - from the original, spicy, vegan, zenbu, cheese, and curry.

When dining at Menya Kokoro, don't miss out on the sides as well!
I personally recommend the Takoyaki, though they have items like Cheese Gyoza, Agedashi Tofu, and Karaage on the menu, too.
P.S. Why not try their UCC Coffee in a Can for only Php 110?
Visit Menya Kokoro on the Third Floor of Uptown Place Mall, 36th Street Corner 9th Avenue, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City.
