Day 3: Check out the Ati Tribe Competition and have lunch at Camiña Balay Nga Bato
For our final day in Iloilo, the group decided to wake up even earlier to ensure good seats at the judging area. Unfortunately, when we got there at 7am, the first two rows were already taken so we had to settle sitting in third row (the event started almost 9am).

Here's my view at third row, just to give you an idea
My photos from the Kasadyahan Regional Festival Competition were taken from the second row, so I was able to squeeze myself in between the two people in front of me. For the Ati Tribe Competition, I found it really difficult to do so, since most of the guys in front were taller than I am, so even if I raised my hands all the way up, you'll still see heads of people in the corners of my shots. I did my best, guys. I really did. But these will have to do. I'm just glad it didn't rain.

Since the competition started late, we were only able to watch a couple of performances, as we needed to leave for our next destination - Camiña Balay Nga Bato. It's a heritage house that has become a living museum and partly, a by-reservation-only restaurant. The family has maintained some of its original structures like the stairs and the pillars, despite it being around for over 150 years now.

We met with Luth Camiña, who is already the fourth generation to live in the Camiña home. She aims to showcase Ilonggo heritage, culture, and food by opening their doors to the public and offering a farm-to-table experience to their guests.

The food was crazy good, guys. It's definitely one of the places you can't miss when you go to Iloilo. They accept reservations for a minimum of 10 pax, so better bring your friends and family on your visit!

Thank you to DOT Region VI and to Camiña Balay Nga Bato for opening their doors for us that afternoon! :)
Next stop: Airport!

This time, we had two meals on the flight - the Grilled Salmon Onigiri and Korean Beef Stew!

I enjoyed this so much that I didn't notice the stain on my shirt until I got home. Haha!
