Planning a visit to El Nido soon? Here are some restaurants you can visit at Lio Tourism Estate in El Nido, Palawan!
When in El Nido, you'll be glad to know that there are numerous dining options available whether you're in town or outside of it. Just a few months ago, I got to visit Lio Tourism Estate, Ayala Land's first tourism estate in El Nido, Palawan. It is masterplanned as an integrated resort community with hotel and resorts, commercial establishments, residential communities, amenities, and facilities for eco-adventure and leisure travelers.
Just few meters from the beach, you will find Shops at Lio - a strip of restaurants and stores at Lio Tourism Estate (also a few steps away from Casa Kalaw where we stayed during our trip). Here are seven restaurants you have got to try when in Lio:
1. Pair-A-Dice Burger Bar
If you're looking for a place with a great view of the beach, well, you've found it. Pair-A-Dice not only offers kick-ass burgers, but amazing drinks as well. Order the Pair-A-Dice Burger which consists of bacon, fried onions, sour cream, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, and BBQ sauce and pair it with my favorite drink - Banana Mudslide!
What we had:
Appetizers: Party Platter, Mozzarella Tomatoes, Pair-A-Dice Salad
Burgers: The Tokyo Teriyaki, The Hawaiian, The Pair-A-Dice Burger, The Blazin' Asian, The Magician
Drinks: The Pacquiao and Banana Mudslide
2. Manille Beach Bar
Manille Beach Bar is named after Destileria Limtuaco & Company, Inc’s flagship Philippine Craft Spirit brand, Manille Liqueur Calamansi and Dalandan. Distileria Limtuaco is the oldest distillery in the Philippines, developing quality spirits and liqueurs since 1852, and Manille Beach Bar features the many different uses of Distileria Limtuaco’s diverse product line through its food and beverage offerings.
What we had: Manille Longanisa Nachos, Spicy Chicken Wings, Amadeo Coffee Beef Ribs, Grilled Meat Platter, and Signature Cheeseburger
But more than the food (now, let's be real here), people come for Manille's cocktails.
And we got to try
We even got to watch them prepare Flight to Lio featuring their Aloe-Haaal, Yuzu Good to Me, Lio Sunset and Old is Gold cocktails!
3. Pizza and Amore
Now if pizza's your thing, Pizza and Amore has got you covered! Enjoy authentic Italian pizza fresh out of the brick fire oven - I highly recommend the Pizza Carbonara that's packed with Bacon and Eggs or their specialty dessert pizza, the Pizza Nutella and Banana!
They also have dishes like the Affettati Misti (dish with mixed cold cuts - Italian ham and pepperoni - with foccacia bread), Parmigiana (fried eggplant with parmesan cheese, mozzarella, tomato sauce, and basil), and Calzone (pizza dough stuffed with tomato sauce, mozzarella, and cooked ham).
4. Globy Traveling Chef
If this name sounds familiar, it's probably because you've seen them around Boracay or perhaps actually eaten at Globy in one of your trips to the island before! Well, either way, Globy Traveling Chef has actually made its way to El Nido this 2017! It's a pretty chill place with bean bags for chairs and the best place for your Happy Hour sessions at Lio. They offer dishes from different cuisines so it's perfect for friends who have varied tastes in food.
What we had:
Globy's Breakfast, Pad Thai, Nasi Goreng with Chicken Satay, Columbian Backpacker, Breakfast Panini, Chicken Tikka Masala, Globy's Favorite, and Kare-Kare
5. Bead Cafe
If it's a tita's afternoon you seek, I recommend visiting Bead Cafe. Here, they offer all kinds of caffeinated drinks suited for an afternoon of chikkahan with your closest girl friends! Aside from that, you can also create your own bead jewelry - go home with something you made to remember that wonderful trip by!
6. Pukka Bar
If I remember correctly, there are two Pukka Bars in El Nido - one located in the town and the other at Lio.
This place has live performances so if you're looking for a fun environment during the evenings, this is where you should go. Jam with the singers or dance the night away, who cares, right? You're on vacation! :P
What we had: Kinilaw, Nachos Bowl Supreme, Calamares, Chicken Cordon Bleu, Ribeye Steak, Pork Spareribs, and a huge Ice Cream Bowl!
Don't forget to order a cocktail or two! Their margarita's pretty good!
7. El Nido Grill
For everything grilled and more, check out El Nido Grill.
We got to try a number of their grilled dishes namely the tilapia, liempo, squid, and chicken!
Nothing beats simple food like this, to tell you the truth. Pair your grilled favorites with their spicy squid, sinigang, some shrimps, and crabs too!
Wash it all off with their Halo-Halo - a Filipino dessert that will never, ever fail you!
