An Italian restaurant like no other!
I've been wanting to visit Salvatore Cuomo for a while now since I've been hearing a lot of good things about it, especially their cheese pizza. I got the opportunity to go with some of my foodie friends a few weeks back to try out their lunch menu (which is basically the same as their dinner menu, but in smaller portions). I like the idea since it makes everything more affordable, especially for the folks who want to spoil themselves during their lunch break without breaking the bank.
I was surprised to discover that the restaurant originated in Japan since everything they offer is Italian - with a lot of their ingredients being shipped in straight from Italy, so you're getting the most authentic versions possible. It's pretty much like dining in Italy where quality is key.
The interiors are elegant, much like how a five-star hotel's restaurant would look like.
Salvatore Cuomo offers premium casual dining perfect for all kinds of diners, whether it be for couples, families, or friends.
Their location is also really good, as Uptown Parade has its own parking at the back, so you don't have to walk far if you plan on bringing a car.
Salvatore Cuomo learned to cook in his hometown of Naples, Italy, but launched his first restaurant in Japan. Normally, their dishes are good for two to three people, so they decided to bring in a lunch menu to provide lighter fare for people who want to dine solo or in smaller groups. At the same time, with this new lunch menu, customers will be able to try more variety since everything is in smaller servings.
People who live and work in the area are lucky because the lunch menu is only available on weekdays from 11am to 5pm. And after trying out the food, I highly recommend you take advantage of this and order as many different dishes you can! My favorites? The Quattro Formaggi Pizza, the Margherita, the Tagliatelle Gamberi e Spinaci, and the Cotoletta di Maiale.
Salvatore Cuomo isn't just any Italian restaurant. Sure, it may offer some similar dishes, but the taste and quality of the food is very different since they import a lot of the ingredients. We were also told that they make use of charcoal from Laos as it lasts longer and brings a different flavor to the dishes.
Here are some photos of their lunch menu including the prices to give you an idea of what Salvatore Cuomo has to offer:
