Another fun activity to add to your list!
Being that Sunday's my only day off from work, I usually just stay at home to recharge for the week ahead. But when I received an invite to try out Kodanda Archery in Eastwood, I just knew I had to go! For those who don't know, I'm not actually much into sports or any sort of physical activities, but archery is something I really enjoy! Would you believe I've already been to Gandiva Archery in Ortigas, The Archery Academy in Greenhills, and Oculus Archery in Pampanga? That's three different locations just last year! It's actually a great activity to try with your friends. You can even get a challenge going to make it more fun!
Kodanda Archery in Eastwood opened just last January, but they do have branches in BF Homes, Makati, and MOA Arena Annex as well.
For Php 590, you get unlimited arrows for one hour, instructions (how to properly hold the bow, the proper stance, etc), equipment rental, safety gear, and target paper.
Years ago, on my first try, I thought the one hour would pass by in a snap. But you know what, I was already tired before it even ended (especially if the bow you're using is heavy). So yeah, I think Php 590 isn't a bad price to be paying for an hour-long session.
Tim was my archery partner that day, and I'm so thrilled that I got my first bullseye on my second arrow, while he got his on his eighth. Mwahaha!!
His first set - no bullseye!
My second arrow. Woot! :)
Forgive me for being extra proud of this achievement. It's the only one I can brag about, because it pretty much went downhill from there. Hahaha!
Call it a lucky shot if you want. Bottom line is, I hit the bullseye! Lol :P
Tim and I focused on our own targets the rest of the time, only looking at the other to check who had the better set.
For some reason, my arrows kept going to the upper left part of the target, so the staff helped by adjusting the peep sight of my bow.
Soon, it was time to leave (and catch an early screening of Beauty and the Beast - super late post, I know). We had loads of fun - I can totally see us going back and bringing our friends to join us!
Thank you for letting us try your facilities, Kodanda! :)
Kodanda Archery Range is located on the second floor of the Cyber Mall at Eastwood City, Libis.
