Read about Ice N Cream's Grand Launch, Freedom Fridays at The 6th Pool Bar & Lounge, and the Planet 21 Farm N Plate Workshop!
A few weeks ago, I joined Novotel Manila Araneta Center for a couple of events at their hotel. The day started off with the grand opening of Ice N Cream (more details here) with the Bb. Pilipinas 2017 candidates, Carmen's Best's Paco Magsaysay, and the winners of their recent iScreamers search!
Made from premium local and imported ingredients from Germany and France, gluten-free, less sugar and stabilizer-free, the Ice N Cream by Novotel showcases yummy flavors like Cocoyeah, creamy coconut milk mixed with slivers of young coconut meat; Passionista, pleasantly sweet and tart silky passionfruit goodness; Papa Don Preach (alcoholic), plump, juicy raisins enhanced with a kick of warmth from rum; Oh Honey Honey (sugar-free), local lime zing blended with Tagaytay honey; Yo Berry Yo!, merriment of tartness from Swiss yogurt and mixed berries; Leche De Almond, velvety leche flan crowned with crunchy Almond Florentine; Wake Me Up Before You Go Go, rich notes of coffee with real coffee bean crunch; and more luscious flavors. Ice N Cream flavors are reasonably priced from 100 nett per scoop.
More than the delish ice cream offerings, Ice N Cream by Novotel also features freshly made pastries and baked favorites like Coconut Cheesecake, Chocolate Praline Cake, Mini Mango Passion Cake, Croissant, Danish breads, Double Chocolate Chip cookies, Honey Pistachio cookies and much more.
Aside from that, some flavors from Carmen's Best will also be available at Ice N Cream - which just means more delicious ice cream for you to feast on!
Congratulations, Novotel Manila and iScreamers! :)
Since it was a Friday, my friends and I decided to join Freedom Fridays - the weekly pool party at The 6th Pool Bar & Lounge!
The event was complete with drinks and games for everybody, a DJ, and a unicorn floatie!!
Join the games and get gift certificates you can use to order even more drinks! :P
P.S. I highly recommend their Frozen Margarita and Black Russian!
At 11:30pm, I was already planning on going back to my room, but for some reason, I ended up in the pool, fully clothed, by midnight. Haha! No one pushed me or anything like that, but we only had 15 minutes of pool time left, and no one would let me change.. sooo... HAHAHA!
I went into the pool in my pants and off-shoulder top, while my friend Gio was in his long sleeves and slacks!! It was a really funny sight, but I don't regret it one bit! #YOLO LOL
The following morning, I woke up pretty late for breakfast at The Food Exchange, then headed straight to The 6th Pool Bar & Lounge - this time, for the Planet 21 Farm N Plate Workshop!
Care to guess what we'll be making?
Cocktails, duh! And well, salads :P

The Healthy N Sustainable initiative is a three-pronged approach to sustainability. The hotel’s very own El Dorado Farm allows us to offer sustainable plates in all our outlets, highlighting fresh and organic produce aimed at providing better choices for our guests. Through sustainable mixology, we strive for less waste as we use fruit, vegetable and herb scraps for cocktail infusions. Beyond our offerings, we Inspire N Lead the way by conducting workshops to educate the community on sustainability, along with inspiration boards in our outlets for guests to make the conscious choice on sustainable food and drinks.
It's a pretty great initiative coming from Novotel Manila, and I'm glad to have known more about it!
Cheers to you, Accor Hotels!
We each left with our very own Rosemary and Mint plants, so we can grow our own herbs at home!
Until next time, Novotel!
