The best place to spend your Taco Tuesdays! ;)
A few weeks ago, I attended my second Yelp event entitled Taco Tuesdays at Hermanos Taco Shop. It was the first time I've ever heard of Hermanos even though I frequent the area, so I ended up just Waze-ing it. It turns out to be one of those restaurants located in gas stations, so drive slow once you're at Granada Avenue because it's really easy to miss!
The interiors here are very simple, some might even call them old.
So when I first saw the menu, I thought it was really expensive, considering the ambiance and all that. Just to give you an idea, tacos start at Php 179 while burritos are around Php 295.
Fish Taco (P205)
dory fish coated in batter, served with lime sauce, shredded cabbage, and lemon wedge with soft corn tortillas, shredded lettuce, pico de gallo, sour cream, and salsa on the side
Tamales (P350)
corn husk filled with seasoned Corn Masa, simmered with red chili sauce and Mexican spices
Mexican Menudo (P335)
beef tripe simmered in red chili sauce, Mexican spices and hominy, served with corn tortilla, diced onions, pepper flakes, Mexican oregano and fresh cilantro
Shredded Beef Soft Taco (P179)
shredded sirloin, soft corn tortillas, shredded lettuce, pico de gallo, sour cream, and salsa on the side
Chimichanga (P305)
deep fried sirloin steak burrito
Chorizo Quesadilla (P260)
chorizo with onions and bellpepper in 12-inch flour tortilla stuffed with melted cheese, served with sour cream, pico de gallo, and salsa
Surf and Turf Burrito (P335)
shrimp and sirloin steak burrito
Carne Asada Chips (P250 / P350)
diced sirloin steak over tortilla chips, melted cheese, pico de gallo, and salsa
Rolled Taquitos (P295 for 6 pieces)
crunchy taquitos served with cheese sauce, sour cream, shredded lettuce, and pico de gallo
Overall, I would suggest taking a trip to Hermanos Taco Shop and ordering the Chimichanga, Fish Tacos, and the Carne Asada Chips! They were my favorites there :)
