It's not often that I find myself craving for a specific cuisine or dish, so when I do, I try to satisfy it ASAP. Last time, it was Tempura's Uncle Sam's Maki.
Tim and I aren't the pickiest eaters in the world. We often wing it when it comes to our dinner dates - we usually just choose a general area and go around that area until we find a place that has parking and a decent menu.

For that night, we picked Trinoma - specifically Tempura in Trinoma. I have wanting to stuff my face in maki for a while now, and since Tempura serves affordable Japanese dishes, we decided to eat there (plus we wanted to walk around after dinner, so it was perfect).

We ordered their Gyoza (P129) which, unfortunately, didn't look very appetizing. Their version of my favorite Japanese pork dumpling looked slightly harassed and over steamed. And rather than the soy dip, I would have preferred mine with soy sauce and wine vinegar combo instead.

We also tried their Hokkaido Giant Oyster Tempura (P285)
fresh giant oysters imported from Japan, deep-fried in a crispy batter

They weren't very big (as you can see from the photos) but Tim loved it, so I'll let that slide.

Another thing he loved was their Kani Salad (P155). I don't order it anymore when I go out because it's easy to make at home, so why pay a premium for it? Oh well, the tummy wants what it wants. Haha

And finally, my favorite - Uncle Sam's Maki (P215)
shrimp, cream cheese, cucumber strips, and mango topped with delicious honey-cured bacon and mayonnaise

I love that it has cream cheese and lots of Japanese mayo in it! I always order it whenever I'm here.
Four Seasons Fruit Shake (P90)
Mix it or not, it tastes great! Pretty sulit for its price!
