Birthday Brunch at Pi Breakfast & Pies

Crossing off another restaurant on my imaginary must-try list - π Breakfast and Pies.

Mike and I made this our first stop for my birthday because we've been wanting to go here ever since we found out about it. Though before even arriving, I already knew what I was going to eat - Eggs Benny! I've always been a fan of Eggs Benedict ever since I got to try it a few years back. My motto is: if it's on the menu, I'm having it. Haha!

Thick-cut bacon, five-minute eggs, english muffin, asparagus, sriracha hollandaise and spiced shoestring potato fries

Unfortunately, this version left me disappointed. There wasn't enough sauce and the bacon was a bit hard. The fries was a nice touch though :)

Mike ordered the Kitayama Wagyu Beef Sirloin Tapa served with garlic kimchi fried rice, six-minute egg and atchara.

We both loved this dish. I personally wouldn't mind coming back for the rice alone! :)

We initially planned on having pies for dessert, but since we were already full from our meals, we picked something light instead.

A big selection of bread and pastries can be found in the baskets behind Mike. *cough*

We ended up sharing a Red Velvet Brownie and a Milo Pastel (custard filled soft buns).

I thought the brownie could use more cream cheese filling, but the Milo Pastel was perfection. :) I would have loved to try their Cereal Milk, but it wasn't available at the time. Boo! Will visit them again soon for that (and more Milo Pastel, yaaay!)
