Last December, I joined the Eastwood Avenue's kitchen crawl, which included Gourmet Farms Express, Ippudo, Applebee's, and Annam Noodle Bar.
Now, this one was a long time coming. Applebee's at Eastwood opened in July 2016, but it was already in the works at least a year before that.
The wait was well worth it though. The concept for Applebee's in the Philippines is very different from the US, because there, they would have about 12 microwaves per store; basically, everything is just heated up. Here, they make everything from scratch. Each dish is calculated and measured - they always check the temperature (especially for burgers and steaks) and food is always consistent in flavor.
They have a wide variety of dishes here which features burgers, pasta, steaks, salads and more. Applebee's also has a kids menu as well as an Under 600 Calories menu that includes salmon, chicken, pasta, and a salad.
Their interiors is one of my favorites. I just love how warm and welcoming it all feels, especially since the staff always greets you with a smile. I've been to Applebee's a couple of times already and they never fail to brighten up my day.
Applebee's new tagline is Celebrate Everything. Whether it's a new car, new eyeglasses, new haircut, you're on your last day at work or finally single, there is always a reason to celebrate. Their goal is to make their customers happy with the food that they offer (they're definitely succeeding, in my opinion)
Here are their bestsellers:
Fiesta Lime Chicken (P395)
grilled chicken done fiesta style with zesty lime sauce, Mexi-ranch and Jack cheddar served with crisp tortilla strips, mexi rice, and freshly made pico de gallo
Wonton Tacos (P225)
spicy chicken-stuffed wonton shell, cole slaw, and cilantro
Pork Ribs (half 650; full 950)
barbecue pork ribs marinated in Applebee's special house blend, grilled to perfection served with corn on the cob, French fries, cole slaw with a choice of honey barbecue sauce, smoky chipotle, spicy sweet Asian chili, and Korean barbecue sauce
Quesadilla Burger (P525)
juicy burger with Applebee's signature Mexi-ranch sauce with pico de gallo and shredded lettuce served in a unique Jack and Cheddar quesadilla
Chef Jamie Lee Arneson showed us how it's done by creating their most loved burger for us on the spot!
Thank you, Chef, for the stories and spreading your love for food through Applebee's!
Opening soon: IHOP Eastwood! Haha :)
Applebee's is located at Eastwood Citywalk 1, Libis, Quezon City.
