The Body Shop Flagship Store at SM MOA

Checking out what's new at The Body Shop's flagship store at SM Mall of Asia!

The Body Shop ended November with a bang with the opening of their flagship store at SM Mall of Asia. The event showcased their new BEAT concept which focuses on using the store as a hub of energy and a community space. Now, they're all about giving personalized store experience by introducing products and offering friendly advice for different skin types, and overall, delivering a new level of brand experience to everyone who comes to the store.

Since The Body Shop considers its stores as the home of the brand, they want to offer a vibrant, nature-inspired space, with unique and rich heritage that is both informal and engaging. I think, in this way, they will be able to communicate with the market better and bring to life the store's iconic products through sensorial experiences. During our visit, we went around four stations where we got to learn about The Body Shop's advocacies as well as try out items from their Winter collection and Christmas catalogue.

In this new design concept, there will be clearer brand markers to encourage the customer to discover our ranges through meaningful experiences and storytelling. We are an authentic brand and so are the materials that we use. All structures that have wood finishes are made from FSC timber to meet our environmental aims and unnecessary materials are removed with the new simple metal frames in our table legs and feature bays. The green and white floor tiles reflect our rich heritage – from our first stores.
Discovery is now made easier with more engaging fixtures to provide multiple ways to shop and experience our products. Our icon products are now staged in a unique way that allows the customer to discover our finest ingredients through spa sinks and body butter wall, making their journey memorable and varied.

Aside from their new concept, I was really happy to know that The Body Shop is supporting two foundations this Christmas. First is children's charity Plan International which provides education and skills training for girls in Indonesia and Brazil. Every transaction you make this December will go towards empowering these young girls and opening more doors and opportunities for them!
Second is the Yellow Boat of Hope Foundation which is a local organization aimed to help fund boats for the children of Maluso, Balisan. "The Yellow Boat of Hope Foundation (YBOH) provides yellow school boats and other modes of transport and structures (such as boats, bridges, dormitories) to help struggling children get to school. We want to ensure that no child is left behind, which means changing the world into a better place through every child’s education." (source)
The Moringa Shower Gel is actually pretty popular so I'm glad they chose an item that they knew was going to sell well (plus it helped that it was also yellow hehe).
There are all these deals around the store too. You can enjoy 20%-50% off and their special Buy 2 Get 1 deals.. So if you haven't gotten gifts for your loved ones yet, it's the perfect time to do so!!

My friends and I also made sure to check their make-up, particularly, the new Winter Collection which includes our favorite Star Stamp Liner! We tried other products from the line as well namely the Illuminator Highlighter, Pink Sparkler (shimmering body powder), and Drops of Gold (lustre finish creator)!

Thank you so much to The Body Shop for having us and congratulations on the awesome launch! :)
