Review: FOREO Luna Play Plus

Testing out the Foreo Luna Play Plus!

It's been about a month since I received my Foreo Luna Play Plus in the mail and I thought it's about time I shared my thoughts on it. Just to give you a brief background, FOREO is a company that creates high-end beauty and wellbeing solutions for people like you and me. They're all about making us not only look good, but feel good as well!

For too long, professional-level treatments have been the privilege of the wealthy few. That’s not right, and it’s a situation that’s changing as fast as our team tears down old-fashioned designs and creates new technologies at sensible prices for all. That’s also why we’re called FOREO, short for “For Every One.” It’s because we strive to create groundbreaking, accessible solutions that bring happiness and benefit to everyday lives. (source)

For. Every. One. Doesn't that sound just amazing? FOREO creates products that fit every budget, with prices starting as low as $39 for their FOREO Luna series.

The one I got isn't the cheapest at $49, but to be honest, I don't mind paying the extra $10 to get the FOREO LUNA Play Plus. While the LUNA Play is a tiny (50x45mm) but mighty sonic face cleanser and massager, it is non-rechargeable. In fact, it can only be used 100 times. Compare that to the Luna Play Plus (64x60mm) which has a replaceable AAA battery, providing up to 400 uses. Worth it? Definitely.

Personally, I love how compact the LUNA Play Plus is. It's not too small nor too big so I can bring it anywhere, no matter the size of my purse, backpack, or gym bag. It has a larger brush head (versus the Luna Play) for distributing T-Sonic™ cleansing power which diffuses pulsations through its soft silicone touch-points to gently unclog your pores to remove up to 99.5% of dirt and oil, plus dead skin cells and makeup residue.

The brand recommends using this twice a day for soft, smooth, and glowing skin, but if you really can't spare that extra minute, once is enough. I especially enjoy using this at night before going to bed as it gets rid of those dry patches that I tend to get around my cheeks. It is equipped with a broad two-zone facial brush - finer touch points to cleanse sensitive/normal skin on larger areas and thicker touch points to provide deep and precise cleansing on the T-zone.
I've tried using the LUNA Play Plus with different brands of facial wash and have gotten really good results with it. I feel like despite my lack of sleep, my skin still looks great (can't say the same for my eye bags though haha)

Here are the products I'm currently using with the LUNA Play Plus:

Planning to buy your own? You'll be happy to know that the LUNA Play Plus comes in seven beautiful colors - Fuchsia, Pearl Pink, Mint, Purple, Aquamarine, Midnight, and Sunflower Yellow.
