Pretzelmaker: Now Open in Manila!

The first Pretzelmaker in Asia is now open at Festival Mall, Alabang!

Since 1991, Pretzelmaker has been rolling out fresh-baked and handcrafted pretzels – with a twist! Thanks to VAVEL Foods, Inc., Pretzelmaker opens its first branch in Asia at Festival Mall, Alabang! Yes, you read it, right. I went all the way to Alabang for pretzels (and can I just say.. it was sooo worth it!!)

I don't normally venture down south, especially somewhere that requires paying toll, but I'm glad I was able to make an adventure out of it with my friends Ed and Jeman. I parked my car in TriNoma to catch the P2P to Makati, took a bus to Skyway South Station then walked to Festival Mall. It was a long and tiring day, but I was glad to have been able to try some of Pretzelmaker's offerings, and look forward as it opens more branches in Manila as well as outside of it!
So what is Pretzelmaker? When I first told my friend about it, she thought it was some kind of mechanism for making pretzels. May sense naman. Haha! But Pretzelmaker is actually a brand that offers an awesome selection of hot, fresh-baked items and cold beverages, with sweet and savory varieties. With locations all over the US and the Middle East, Pretzelmaker serves the perfect bite-sized snacks that will satisfy any craving. With its superb selection, there will surely be something for everyone in the family to enjoy!

We were there for Pretzelmaker's grand opening and ribbon cutting where Migo Ochoa, General Manager of Pretzelmaker Philippines said, “I am excited to introduce a New Twist to the Philippines. We plan to open more stores in major malls and establishments nationwide. I am confident that the public will like what we have to offer. Pretzelmaker prides itself in serving freshly rolled and baked soft pretzels with a wide variety of flavors and dips, along with mouth watering pretzel dogs that will keep you coming back for more.”
We also heard from that afternoon's host Tony L Atayde Jr. and Holly Frey, Vice President of International Development and Operations for Pretzelmaker USA.
Soon, it was time for the ribbon cutting!
Everyone couldn't contain their excitement as that only meant it was finally time to eat!!

First on the list: Pretzelmaker's Salted Bites (Php 75 for 16oz / Php 90 for 22oz)
Pair it with their various dips like Chocolate, Caramel, and Cheese!

Next is their Cinnamon Sugar Bites (Php 75 for 16oz / Php 90 for 22oz)! I love, love pretzels with cinnamon sugar, and I really like how Pretzelmaker's versions are airy and not too filling.
Best paired with their chocolate dip! ;)

Another great buy is the Cream Cheese Stuffed Bites, which can come with Cinnamon Sugar, Almond Crunch, Garlic Seasoning, or as is (prices range from Php 95 to Php 140 depending on flavor and number of pieces).
But if I have to choose just one item from their menu, the definite winner is their Mini Pretzel Dogs
Personally, I think Php 120 for 8 pieces is a steal because these are one-of-a-kind treats with locally made dogs specially for Pretzelmaker! I couldn't stop popping these babies!!

Don't miss out on their regular sized pretzels as well! Go for unsalted, salted, or any of their premium pretzels (Almond Crunch or Cinnamon Sugar)

Everything is made fresh daily, so if you find yourself in the area, do check out Pretzelmaker!

You won't regret it! ;) Visit Pretzelmaker at the Upper Ground Floor, Expansion Wing in Festival Mall, Alabang.
