I've honestly never stayed at a hostel before. I didn't see it as the most hygienic place and I imagined it to be really cramped. But Lub d was the total opposite. To be honest, if all hostels looked like Lub d, then I wouldn't mind making them my home on all my travels. Lub d has all the hotel feels less the crazy hotel prices, so why not, right?
Aside from that, it's located in the heart of Makati - walking distance to the nightlife, top restaurants, and shopping malls, so you'll never run out of things to do. They will have a tour desk in partnership with Tripkada soon, so you can avail of different tours and activities around the area as well.

I also like how their tagline is "Everyone leaves as a friend" - the staff is really friendly and you can even invite them to play pool/board games with you! I've also been told that people staying at hostels are generally very sociable, so if you're looking to widen your network and meet new people, I highly recommend paying it a visit!
In April, they'll be opening an amazing rooftop bar and restaurant - it will have an indoor dining area for local and Southeast Asian inspired street food with a twist (by Nicco Santos and Queenie Vilar) and a great outdoor bar and lounge area for refreshing cocktails created by experienced mixologists, so I'm definitely looking forward to that!
