What we did: visited Casa Mariquit, tried lapaz batchoy, bought pasalubong, and joined the Parade of Lights!
After covering the Kasadyahan Regional Festival Competition, we headed to Ocean City Seafood Restaurant for lunch. Princess and I devoured their baked oysters, leaving everything, including the crispy tadyang, for everyone else. #priorities
Thank you, DOT Region VI, for taking such good care of us (and for the endless supply of food! haha)
After lunch, they took us around to places like Nelly's Garden, Molo Mansion, and the Jaro Bell Tower.
A must visit - the Original Biscocho Haus for pasalubong!
We all left with bags of biscocho, butterscotch, barquillos, and so much more!
Next stop: Casa Mariquit
If you have a third eye and want to see spirits roaming around an old house, this is the place for you.
One can't go to Iloilo and not try Netong's lapaz batchoy!
Final stop of the tour: Iloilo River Esplanade
Soon, it was time for the Parade of Lights - one of the main events that evening.
We took photos of some of the other floats before heading over to the AirAsia float.
Of course it was shaped like a plane - what else do you expect? ;)
We hopped on board and handed out AirAsia merch to the spectators - bag tags, t-shirts, ecobags, and pins!
What an experience! Thank you, AirAsia, for letting us ride your float! :D
For dinner, DOT brought us to Cafe Panay where they served numerous Filipino dishes like binakol, chicken pork adobo, and kansi.
Will post our third and last day soon! :)
