Pizza, pasta, bingsu, and more!
After our brunch at King Chef Dimsum Kitchen, it was time for dessert! The next stop on the #BettnaBettniPickiestEaterMagEatsplorewithPhantasm food crawl was Snowbing. I'm so glad my friends Richie (thepickiesteater.net), Mark and Bianca (eatsplorations.com), Princess (phantasmdarkstar.com) and I finally got to do our first crawl in the north (a.k.a. my hood). For some reason, we always seem to find ourselves in BGC or Pasig, so I was really excited to show them around SM North Edsa!
Snowbing is a Korean dessert cafe, but they have more than just desserts. Since it was my first time there, I was surprised to see items like pizza and pasta on the menu, so we made sure to order a couple of their bestsellers.
Korean Pizza (P99)
Here's a quick and delicious snack for those on a budget. This solo sized pizza is topped with cheese, onions, and beef bulgogi. It's definitely a good deal at Php 99.
Salted Egg Pasta (P198)
For the pasta, they have three options: Salted Egg, Korean, and Kimchi. Personally, I would've gone with Kimchi, but since some of my friends aren't too keen on spicy food, we went with Salted Egg instead.
As it turns out, I'm not a huge fan of salted egg pasta, but their toasts were really good.
We ordered the Honey Butter and White and Dark Chocolate, both priced at Php188.
It's the more affordable version of what Cafe Shibuya offers, and I actually loved how they cooked the toast. They turned out crispy on the outside, and soft and warm on the inside.
But if I were to pick a favorite, I would go with the Honey Butter because it wasn't too sweet and chocolatey as the other one (that's not necessarily a bad thing though). I'm just trying to lay off sweets.
But it didn't take long for me to ruin my diet because next on our list was their main offering: the Bingsu! Pick from 12 different flavors, each with different toppings and flavored shaved ice.
Cheezy Mango (P168)
Matcha Green Tea (P188)
Strawberries and Cream (P168)
Choco Brownie (P188)
They all share that creamy melts-in-your-mouth shaved ice; they just vary in flavor. Which one you choose really depends now on preference, but let me tell you, everything we tried was really good, so I'd recommend them all. Haha! If you're trying to be healthy though, go for the fruity ones (Strawberries & Cream or Tropical Fruit). But I'm guessing their bestsellers are the one with ripe mangoes and chunks of cheese (Cheezy Mango) and the crazy chocolate-y one (Choco Brownie). The prices aren't bad either. ;)
