Amici, Greenhills

It's been a while since I last dined at Amici.

A few days ago, Amici's Paolo and Philip Moran invited some bloggers to try out their latest pizza offerings as well as newest cake from Caramia. Luckily, I was visiting some relatives in San Juan that day, so I thought I'd drop by the event to see what's new at Amici!
We started our meal with their Trio Platter (P525), a combination of three best-selling appetizers - the Mozzarella Fritto, Chicken Tenders, and Italian Chips. Served, of course, with sauces for dipping.
My favorite? The Mozzarella Fritto! It goes perfectly with the marinara dip, but I also enjoyed the Chicken Tenders with the light mustard dip.

For the pizzas, they came out with four new wood fire baked pizzas which makes use of the new dough that Chef Paolo has developed.

Il Supremo (P445)
Pizza with everything on it - Italian sausage, ham, pepperoni, mushrooms, bell peppers, onions, black olives, anchovies, mozzarella, and parmesan.
Carne Fuego (P475)
If you like spicy dishes, here's Chef Paolo's version of an overloaded spicy all-meat pizza with spicy Italian sausage, bacon, pepperoni, ham, mozzarella, and parmesan. This turned out to be my favorite!
Smoked BBQ Pork (P455)
This one has pulled pork in hickory BBQ sauce, topped with fresh onions and served with chopped lettuce tossed in Caesar dressing. At first, I was hesitant to try it because I thought it might be too onion-y for me, but it was just the perfect amount, and goes really well with the BBQ pork and lettuce.

Honey-Sriracha Chicken (P438)
Enjoy a delightful sweet and spicy combination with the shredded chicken in honey butter and Sriracha, drizzled with Blue Cheese sauce. Personally, I thought this one needed more spice to it, but overall, the flavors come together really well. I love that this one has blue cheese, it kind of reminds me of buffalo wings.

Pollo Arrostito (P340 half / P655 whole)
This one's not new, but it's a definite classic here at Amici. Flavorful baked rosemary chicken served with a side of vegetables. I'd totally have this with rice. Yum!

Last but not the least, the Coffee Honeycomb (P110 slice / P745 whole).
Here, light chocolate chiffon is drizzled with chocolate fudge sauce layered with coffee and chocolate cream and finally topped with coffee honeycomb crunch. It looks sweet, but it is not. My friend Reese and I shared a slice and finished it in record time! I'm totally ordering this for my grandmother's 94th birthday in a few days!
Amici is located at G/F 101 Missouri Square, Missouri corner Connecticut Street, Greenhills, San Juan City.
