I attended the recent launch of Workshop Bespoke Bakery at Mega Fashion Hall, SM Megamall. There, I got to see and taste the newest pastries by Chefs Miko and Kristine - specifically the Basque Burnt Cheesecake, Pistachio Creme Roulade, and the decadent 17-Layer Chocolate Cake - and even got to enjoy the coffee pairings made by Yardstick Coffee!

Though Workshop Bespoke Bakery may be all about pastries, Le Petit Soufflé offers more than just soufflés! They have savory dishes there as well. Here are some of the dishes I got to try during my visit:

Workshop Bespoke Bakery makes use of CalaBoo's Boo-lala Butter, which is made from carabao milk. CalaBoo is a social enterprise born in GK Enchanted Farm committed to paying farmers above-market price for their milk, and to reinvesting parts of their profits to provide value-added services that will raise the quality of life of these farmers. They also provide Gawad Kalinga values formatio to spark the poor's capacity to dream again and empower them to fulfill these dreams.
The two chefs also did quick demos for us on how they created their newest cakes!
I love chocolate as much as the next girl, but this Basque Burnt Cheesecake wins this round for me!
I thought the 17 Layer Chocolate Cake went really well with this Dairy-Free Mocha Latte from Yardstick! Though I would have loved to try the Madagascar Vanilla Latte (pairs with the Pistachio Roulade) and the Torched Butterscotch Iced Latte (perfect with the Basque Burnt Cheesecake)!
Workshop = DESSERT HEAVEN!!
