Welcome to F1 Hotel: The Home of Happy Experiences
For five years now, F1 Hotel Manila has been the home of many happy experiences, and for the first time, it got to be mine as well. Over the recent holidays, I decided to stay in Manila and enjoy the quiet and traffic-free city for an entire week. Come Saturday, my friends from The KTG (Kain Tulog Gang) and I checked in to F1 Hotel's luxurious Suite rooms for an Easter staycation.
I stayed at their Fort Suite, which was only Php 6,600 a night from April 9 to 16, 2017, as part of their Easter Room Package promo.
The suite has a huge living room area complete with a sofa, television, desk, mini fridge, complimentary bottled water, and a coffee maker.
Upon stepping inside the room, I was greeted with a humongous bed fit for a queen!
Now this is what you call a staycation! ♥
The room was also equipped with a beautiful JBL Horizon Bluetooth Wireless Speaker that also serves as an FM radio and alarm clock. I definitely made good use of this during my stay.
The bathroom was spacious enough and had all toiletries needed for an overnight stay and more!
The room also had a closet with hangers, a robe, slippers, ironing board, and a safe for your belongings.
I honestly wanted to sleep right then and there, but there was still much to explore at F1 Hotel, so I forced myself to get off the bed and walk around the common areas.
But not before taking a bite of the complimentary sweets they left in my room. Thanks, F1!
The special offer included 30% off on the hotel's "Easterrific Adventure Under the Sea" at the Infinity Ballroom, for kids to participate in various activities such as egg hunt, magic show, balloon twisting, bubble show, glitter tattoo, and egg decorating.
Aside from that, we also got to enjoy the facilities of the hotel, like the use of the swimming pool and gym, unlimited broadband WiFi access, and more!
The swimming pools are located on the 3rd floor, while the gym can be found on the 5th. I took the opportunity to get a (semi) top view so you get a better idea on how large the pools are.
There is a lap pool as well as two kiddie pools so everyone's bound to have a good time.
They also have a lounge area for those who just want to chill by the pool - you can even order some food and drinks while you're there!
And the final stop of the tour - the gym.
After exploring, we all met up at F All-Day Dining where we got to enjoy a light Lenten lunch buffet featuring a soup and bread station, a salad bar, a main dish of your choice (well-prepped, done a la minute), and a dessert section.
We picked from the following main dishes:
Chicken Kushikatsu with Mango Sauce
Burnt Coconut Mahi-Mahi with Kewpie and Garlic Chili
Tiger Prawns with Panko Sesame Crust
Each had a unique flavor to it, but my favorite is the Chicken Kushikatsu! I just love the mango sauce it came with! (Also, I may have had more than one order....)
After lunch, we went our separate ways - until dinner, that is. Some of us went to the spa while the others went to the gym and the pool. I chose the latter because my mom had me leave my gym clothes at home, convinced that I wouldn't be able to use it anyway. Haha! Thanks, mom.
Soon, it was time for dinner. We had ours at F1 Hotel's Gold function room on the first floor. The room is fairly large - it can probably fit as many as fifty people (there were about thirty of us, so we had three large tables with more than enough space for kids to run around). The hotel also set up a videoke for us to sing the night away!
For our Seafood Lenten Dinner, we had the following:
Artisanal Bread Rolls and Butter (and the most amazing Prawn Bisque - no photo!)
Marinated Crab Meat Salad with Nachos
Haricot Verts with Lemon Zest
Black and Pepper Crabs
Fish and Squid Churros with Tartare Sauce
Phyllo-crusted Salmon with Okra Frites, Soy and Sesame Sauce
Poached Pears, Citrus Jelly, Mango Mousse
Orange and Cashew Nut Sans Rival Bites
After all the eating, drinking, and singing, I headed to the spa for my midnight session with Ate Lyn.
It was the perfect night cap. I went straight to bed and woke up feeling refreshed the following morning!
For breakfast, we feasted on bacon, sausages, eggs, waffles, and loads more! Just check these out:
After getting my fill, I headed back to my room to finally get some work done.
Came back to another surprise from F1 Hotel. More chocolates! Yum! :)
