Bigby's has been around since 1998. It used to have a branch in Manila, but it closed down, so unfortunately, you can only find them outside of Manila now, in places like Cagayan de Oro, Davao, and Cebu.
My friends and I had such a wonderful time during our quick stay in CDO. The most notable one was my date with Tim at Bigby's. Everyone was just so nice! The servers welcomed us, made sure we were comfortable, and that we got our food at the right time. Speaking of food, here's what we ordered:
Blossoming Spinach Dip (P199)
We did not go wrong with this one. Their cheesy-gooey spinach dip served with melba toast was the perfect starter for us! They don't scrimp out on anything - not the toast, not the cheese, and definitely not the spinach. You're probably wondering where the spinach is in the photo - it's hiding under all the cheese! Definitely worth the P200 we paid for it. And yes, we finished this entire thing on our own.
Indian Seafood Kebobs (P335)
Tim was supposed to get the Boomerang Shrimps, but the server mentioned that the dish only included one skewered shrimp kebab. So he recommended we get the Indian Seafood Kebobs instead. This dish featured twin skewers of grilled fish, prawns, and squid served with peanut curry sauce and cuban rice. Tim didn't eat it with the peanut curry sauce, but it still tasted great.
When I saw this on the menu, I instantly knew it was the one.... I wanted to eat (haha). The boneless chicken barbecue smothered with a sweet and tangy barbecue sauce was exactly the kind of dish I needed to end my CDO adventure with. The chicken was tender and flavorful; the sauce was on the spot. I have no complaints with this one!
Bigby's is located at G/F Centrio Mall, Claro M. Recto Ave, Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental.
