If you're planning a visit to Katsu Sora, prepare to eat a lot.
Tim and I were walking around Trinoma looking for a place to eat when we stumbled upon Katsu Sora. It was late and we were already starving, so we figured it was as good a time as any to try out their offerings.
We ordered two sets, both of which came with unlimited salad, soup, fruits, and rice served buffet style.
Salad: Pick from romaine lettuce, lollo rossa lettuce, iceberg lettuce, cherry tomatoes, corn, broccoli, cucumbers, white onions, cabbage, potato salad, fresh fruits in season
Dressing: Japanese dressing, Japanese caesar dressing, Japanese sesame dressing, Japanese thousand island dressing, Japanese wasabi dressing
Soup (two kinds available daily): Awase Miso, Shin-Su Shiro Miso, Inaka Miso, Iriko Dashi, Kaijiro Miso, Gen-en Miso, Shiokoji
Rice: Gokokumai rice, Japanese rice, Mix rice
Cheese and Ohba Mille Feuille Set (P365)
Canadian pork slices, Japanese basil, and melted cheese are layered together, breaded with panko, and deep-fried to a golden finish

Sakura Tonkatsu Curry Set (P365)
served with a mild curry sauce, stewed vegetables, and rice
This place reminded me a lot of Yabu, except with more options - in terms of salad, dressing, soup, rice, and even pork. As for the price, I think it's around the same so if you're looking for more variety, perhaps try Katsu Sora. Don't get me wrong, I love Yabu. My favorite there is the Menchi Katsu Curry Set; though for some reason, I always end up eating more of the sides (specifically the cabbage with roasted sesame dressing) than my actual meal. Haha! But yeah, Katsu Sora's not a bad choice if you're in Trinoma and you don't feel like walking to SM The Block for your Yabu fix. It's not as packed as Yabu always is, so there's no need to wait to get a seat. The service is great, and the interiors are pretty nice too.
