Guess who went to Capitol Commons on a weekday?? #TitaModeOff
I don't normally venture this far out from my house on weeknights, but I've always been curious about Tipsy Pig. I often see it on my Facebook/Instagram feed, so I finally decided to try it for myself.
It's more of a barkada/family meeting place rather than a date place though, especially since the serving sizes are pretty big. Just take a look at their nachos!
The Dirty Mexicana
nachos overloaded with your favorites, 3 kinds of cheese, beef, pulled pork, jalapeno, pico de gallo, and sour cream
This was just half of it. The server told us the nachos are good for four to eight people, but since we were craving, we still went ahead and ordered it. (P.S. there were only two of us haha)
French Onion Soup
the classic onion soup, Gruyere, baguette
I loved the soup but hated the baguette. It was just too hard to eat.
Rigatoni Pasta with Spicy Shrimp
rigatoni, beurre blanc, tomato confit, and chili marinated shrimp
Again, with the bread. Are these just for show or what? :( I really liked the pasta though; the sauce was thick, creamy, and flavorful (not too spicy).
Not really sure what the best dishes to order here are; so if you have any thoughts, please let me know so I can try them next time!
