Lugang Cafe, SM North Edsa The Block

Lugang Cafe
My family went to Lugang Cafe for my brother's birthday to try out one of their set menus :)

Chinese food isn't usually our top choice whenever we go out to eat - we're more into maki rolls, onion rings, pizzas, and burgers - but to be  honest, there's not a whole lot of restaurants you can choose from when you're in a mall. It's not so bad though, the food was actually great. Did you know Lugang Cafe now has set menus for Php 1,999.00? Here's what we got:
Lugang Cafe
Steamed Crab Roe and Pork Xiao Long Bao
Php 288.00
Lugang Cafe
Never eat at Lugang without ordering xiao long bao.

Hot and Sour Soup
Php 240.00
Lugang Cafe
We were supposed to get the Winter Melon and Clam Soup as part of our set but it wasn't available so we were given this instead (price for both soups are the same)

Kung-Pao Chicken with Cashews
Php 280.00
Lugang Cafe
Wasabi Mayo Prawns
Php 580.00
Lugang Cafe
Taiwanese Fried Pork Chop
Php 180.00
Lugang Cafe
The pork chop reminded me a lot of Ersao's spicy pork. Yes, that's a good thing.

Stir-fried Seasonal Vegetables
(choice of brocolli, spinach, chinese kale, or water spinach/kang kong)
Php 270.00
Lugang Cafe
Diced Chicken with Salted Fish Fried Rice
Php 280.00
Lugang Cafe
If I added it right, the total price for the individual dishes would have been Php 2,118.00, so at least you get a bit of a discount when you go for their set menu. Plus it saves you time, you don't have to go through every single item on the menu before deciding on what to order. You and your family just have to agree on one of the four sets then you're done! ;)

My brother and I each ordered an extra dish though:

Oyster Omelette with Sweet and Spicy Sauce
Php 190.00
Lugang Cafe
Pork Wontons in Spicy Chili Oil
Php 190.00
Lugang Cafe
I'd recommend the wontons! Not so much the oyster omelette because it doesn't have much flavor to it. But yeah, overall, it was a good meal.

Lugang Cafe has branches at SM North Edsa, SM Mall of Asia, SM Aura, SM Megamall, Glorietta, and Greenhills.
