Guess who spent a good hour roaming their new store at UP Town Center last night!
Papemelroti is a specialty shop which carries a wide variety of gifts and decorative accessories. Papemelroti’s history began in October 13, 1967, when Benny and Corit opened the first Papemelroti gift shop along Tomas Morato Avenue. Korben Gifts, as it was called, started out as a hobby, with Corit making stuffed toys and doll’s dresses and Benny supervising the furniture making. (source)
If you're wondering what Papemelroti actually means (I definitely was), it is the combination of the first syllables of the names of Benny and Corit's children - Patsy, Peggy, Meldy, Robert, and Tina - a family joke that soon turned into reality.
Today, Papemelroti has evolved into a chain of gift shops that has touched countless lives through its unique product lines. Patsy, Peggy, Meldy, Robert and Tina continue to design products for Papemelroti. They aim to design products that help encourage, uplift, and inspire as well as bring warmth and beauty to homes. Their products reflect values and themes which are important to their family - a commitment to and love of God, family, home, country and the environment. Through years of designing, manufacturing and retailing, Papemelroti has become a popular name in the Philippines’ gift and decorative accessories industry. (source)
Sharing with you all the great stuff you can find at this place and hope it turns into your happy place, as well! :)
The above wall decors are just too awesome. I dream of having my own photo wall like this some day.
Their notebooks range from 18-39 pesos, depending on the size and color.
Whether you're looking for a gift to give someone or just for yourself, you'll definitely find something here. I can already see myself hoarding items to put in my future home. Haha :P
They also sell plaques for your favorite people in the world! P.S. They customize! ;)
It's always nice to add a touch of color and personality to your desk. I suggest looking for quotes to inspire you during the day.
The two boxes on the right are actually ring boxes. Guess what the teacups on the left are!
They're greeting cards designed by Robert Alejandro himself!
The only problem about this place is that they've created products that are so cute and inexpensive, you can't help but hoard stuff you don't even need! Haha
Imagine, you can get these memo pads for only 16 pesos each!
These keychains are so pretty. Definitely buying them on my next visit!
They have the cutest suggestion box, too! <3 I wanted to write something but I couldn't think of anything to comment. Papemelroti is already perfect! :)
Yesterday's purchases (not including last Saturday's necklace, which I was wearing): notepads, stickers, postcards, today's advice, and a new wall decor!
