Little Italy: Girl Bonding and Date Nights

Little Italy
Met up with my high school barkada one Saturday night to plan a surprise bridal shower for one of our friends :)

As per Georgina's recommendation, we headed to La Famiglia Little Italy, one of the restaurants found in the new Promenade wing of Greenhills. At first glance, their menu items can look pricey, but they're not so bad since the portions are actually for sharing.

We started off with the Mozzarella Triangles (P315). Served with marinara sauce and pesto, this dish is the perfect starter in any Italian restaurant. Plus, who doesn't love mozzarella??

Georgina had us try the Italian Style Meatballs (P195) as well. Unfortunately, her favorite wagyu beef wasn't available so we went with pork meatballs with Parmesan Creme sauce instead.

I thought it needed more flavor, so I added some marinara sauce from the Mozzarella Triangles to mine. The other girls seemed to like it though.

Next, we had their all-meat Pizza Gabriella (P475).
rosso (red sauce), mozzarella, smoked bacon, ham, pepperoni, and salami

Cheesy and protein-filled, this will fill you up pretty quickly! ;)

For the pasta, we decided to go with something lighter and healthier - the Pomodorini (P495). No meat or thick creamy sauce, but instead, it's filled with cherry tomatoes, basil, arugula, and garlic slivers mixed in olive oil.

For a Saturday night, the place was pretty empty, so I'd definitely recommend it if you're looking to dine somewhere private. Also, it doesn't hurt to ask for their bestsellers, just so you won't end up spending on the wrong dishes. Happy eating! :)
