Movie Suggestion: Pearl Harbor

Fine, I have a confession. It's been thirteen years since this movie came out, but I only saw it a few months ago. I was having a pretty crappy day, so I figured I might as well watch something sad. Weird logic, I know.

I don't regret watching it. Not one bit. For some reason, it's easy for me to get emotionally involved in whatever I'm watching, may it be a movie or a tv show, so I often find myself tearing up, and I'm not ashamed of it! There had been an instance where I had just switched the channel and saw an actor crying and pouring his heart out to some girl, and almost immediately, I started crying, too. Plus the fact that some of my favorite movies are such tearjerkers, like The Notebook and The Fault in Our Stars. Gosh, I'm such a weirdo.

Also, I did my research and found out that this movie should not to be taken as a representation of that day. Try not to think about historical facts if you want to enjoy it because it's not exactly accurate. Just take it as a three-hour film about love, war, and friendship. If you want to learn more about what really happened on December 7, 1941, do check out this article.

P.S. Kate Beckinsale is so pretty here. I have a bigger crush on her than Josh Hartnett or Ben Affleck (I'm serious). Also, the scene where Danny flies Evelyn on his plane makes me wish I had a pilot for a boyfriend, too. lol.

P.P.S. prepare yourself for a lot of explosions, sinking ships, and messy deaths in this movie. You have been warned.
