If you ever find yourself in need of a quick fix from your katsu cravings, then perhaps consider visiting Katsu Cafe.
According to their Facebook page, Katsu Cafe has been around since 2012 and currently has three branches - Katipunan, Maginhawa, and Antipolo. It was my first time there and to be honest, it's a pretty great place.
I guess with all the katsu places around, the small ones don't really get noticed anymore. It's unfortunate when they have such good food, and at affordable prices, too! In Katsu Cafe's case, prices start at P195 for katsu sets with miso soup and unlimited rice.
Panj and JJ went with the Chicken Katsu Set (P195), but you can also try their Pork Katsu Set for P215.
Mike went with the Gyudon (P235), one of his favorite Japanese dishes.
I ended up with the Pork Katsu Curry Rice (P255). I don't know why, but whenever I'm at a katsu place, I always go for ones with curry even though they all taste the same anyway. Haha!
Perhaps I'll go with the Gyudon next time with a side order of Gyoza (P120).
P.S. Their drinks include soda, iced tea, coffee, and BEER. So yeah, do check them out soon! ;)
Katsu Cafe is located at #189 Maginhawa Street, Diliman, Quezon City.
