My favorite bazaar this year!
Last August 22-24, Yabang Pinoy held the Global Pinoy Bazaar - a yearly bazaar showcasing Filipino creativity and talent! It's exactly the type of bazaar where you can't help but splurge. Good thing I brought just enough money to buy the ones I really, really, really wanted (like the necklace above which I pre-ordered).
Anyway, thought I'd share some of the cool stuff I found there.
Anyway, thought I'd share some of the cool stuff I found there.
First up - Linya Linya, a collection of doodled puns, catchphrases, and misquotations, scribbled down in a blank notebook.
They have the funniest stuff, and I'm so proud to say that it's actually owned by my English blockmate, Ali, and his friend, Panch. Congrats, guys! :)
Next, we have Hodge Podge. They have the cutest art on bottlecap accessories! It's the shiznit! Mike and I always scan their booth for new items whenever we see them at bazaars.
I noticed that there were more calligraphy-related items this year compared to last year and it's just awesome. I've been wanting to try out calligraphy, but I just can't seem to find the time. I actually registered for a calligraphy workshop over the weekend, only to back out a few days later because of work. (P.S. if you know the name of the store that sells these notepads, please let me know.)
Ella Lama sells these wonderful pins that I'd totally love to get my hands on. These would look great pinned on backpacks, pencil cases, and even shirts!
Then there are these watches.
And these shoes for men. I love the one with hearts! Sana may girl version! <3 (Again, if you know the name of the stall, please comment below!)
These gartered shorts are from StraightForward. I remember because Mike bought from them and actually posted about them on his blog. My boyfriend, the fashion blogger. Haha! (I'm kidding) :P
Here's another stall that I always see in bazaars - Pop Junk Love.
They had these cute ticket boxes that I wanted so badly. I keep all of my ticket stubs (whether from movies, concerts, or airline tickets) so this seemed perfect for me, but I don't know where I'd put it.
Soul Flower sells bohemian accessories that's perfect for laid back fashionistas (if that even makes sense).
I promised myself I'd look for her again and have some of my photos printed on these (what are they called anyway?) to hang in my future home.
Sigh. Another calligraphy item, this time, notebooks. So much love. <3
And finally, my other buy, my very own mandals. Yes, man sandals (as if my feet don't look manly already! Haha!)
And finally, if you're wondering where I got the awesome necklace I'm wearing in the first photo (and again below), it's from Istorya! Definitely getting more stuff from you soon, Joanna! :)
Also inviting everyone to check out AdoraBella PH and The Kneutral Collection.
AdoraBella sells a variety of quirky but useful organizers (you'll realize how much you actually need their items after reading this post).
The Kneutral Collection, on the other hand, creates unique handmade pieces like necklaces, bangles, earrings, keychains, and more. Do check out this post to know more! :)
