A weird name for a Korean restaurant, don't you think?
Had lunch at Cafe Monaco along Banawe a few Sundays ago with the family. Their dishes are surprisingly affordable - so if you're on a budget and find yourself craving for Korean food in the area, this is the place for you. Here's a quick look on the dishes we got to try.
My dad had the Spicy Pork (P120). We usually order dishes for sharing, but the menu is mostly comprised of sandwiches and rice meals (not that we let that stop us from trying one another's food). Hehe.
My family loves soup, so we ordered their Kimchichige (P170).
I had the Beef Stew with Kimchi Rice (P155). Not sure how or when it started, but I just love Kimchi rice. The beef stew was flavorful, and the meat, tender. :)
My sister ordered the Gyu Nikuyakidon (P150). Doesn't it look delicious? She had her meal with Kimchi rice, too!
My brother went with the Bibimbap (P140). It's the same thing he ordered the week before, so it must be good! ;)
Finally, for my mom, the Chapchae (P130). We all agreed that Bonchon still reigns when it comes to this dish! Haha! :P
Again, if you're looking for a Korean restaurant in Banawe, then head on over to Cafe Monaco! For Singaporean food (and some amazingly delicious laksa), check out Bugis along N. Roxas. For a mix of different cuisines, visit Chef Robert! ;)
Happy eating! :)
