Remember when I made Red Velvet Crinkle Cookies last week? Well, this week, I decided to make Nutella Brownies! :) Though I'm not a big fan of the hazelnut/cocoa spread, my siblings love it. Plus it was a welcome change from our usual banana, blueberry, and chocolate fudge cake mixes, so I figured, why not? :p
The first thing I did was to look up some Nutella Brownie recipes online. I was so happy when I found this "3 Ingredient Nutella Brownies," a recipe that only calls for three simple ingredients - Nutella, flour and eggs! And since I don't plan on quitting my weekly baking habits anytime soon, I'm all for easy recipes.
Believe it or not, I finished preparing the entire thing in just 30 minutes! :)
Ingredients:
1 cup Nutella
2 eggs
10 tbsp all-purpose flour
Directions:
1. Mix all three ingredients together until uniformly combined.
2. Pour into your pan of choice, and bake at 350F for about 30 minutes (shorten the time if you're using a muffin/cupcake tin.)
Though the recipe already works with the ingredients mentioned above, I also read that adding coffee and some salt can help. Coffee supposedly enhances the flavor of the Nutella so I put in two teaspoons of it. Honestly not sure what the salt does, but I added some anyway (if you know what it's for, can you please let me know?).
Apparently, people can still fail with recipes like these.. or maybe that's just me? Mine ended up being a bit dry, probably from too much flour - so I drizzled some Nutella on top of each brownie to make up for it. Yummy!
As mentioned earlier, I made my brownies in just 30 minutes. I would've finished earlier if it wasn't so hard to scoop the Nutella off of everything! :p
I'll have to perfect this recipe soon since I promised some friends I'd make some for them too. Maybe I'll try this on a smaller pan. Or perhaps, make Nutella cupcakes instead?:)
