Althea Korea Haul #3

Monthly Althea haul coming right up!

For someone who didn't think much about skincare, I've been finding myself on Althea a lot lately. For those who don't know, Althea is a one-stop online shop on everything related to K-Beauty. They have makeup and skincare products from well-known brands like Nature Republic, Laneige, Innisfree, Tony Moly, and so much more. I've already written about them previously and I just really love how easy it is to order from different brands on their website PLUS you get free shipping for a minimum of Php 1,999!
Aside from that, Althea works directly with brands (no middle men involved!) so expect to get these items at good prices a.k.a. no crazy markups! As stated in the title of this post, this is already my third haul with them - see haul #1 and haul #2 here. At the end of the year, I'll probably make a "Best of Althea" post featuring my favorite items from the website. Anyway, back to the haul!

Item #1: Innisfree Camellia Essential Shampoo

Aside from having dry flakes, my other problems with my hair include damaged and falling hair. I think it's because I've been coloring and bleaching it nonstop the past year, so my thick black hair has now become thin and brittle.

And since I read that this has a moisturizing formula that helps strengthen hair, I thought I'd try it out. Thanks to camellia oil hailing from Jeju island, this shampoo repairs damages caused by perming and dyeing, leaving you with soft, touchable locks. This silicon-free shampoo is suitable for all hair types, even for those of us with sensitive scalps and brittle strands. I also actually got the Green Tea Mint Fresh Shampoo from Innisfree in my last haul, but that's more for cleaning the scalp. So yeah, hopefully alternating the two helps with my hair issues. *crosses fingers*

Item #2: Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Blackhead Out Balm

Two Innisfree products in one haul! Wow! The main reason for this is because I've been seeing a lot of posts about Innisfree opening its first store in Manila and so I figured, they must really have great products. The Jeju Volcanic Blackhead Out Balm is a must product for me since I have deep pores, hence lots of blackheads, especially around the nose. It is supposed to be really easy to use - scoop out a small amount and massage until it becomes an oil then rinse with water. That's it. The balm melts into an oil to extract impurities and sebum from the pores. I've tried it a couple of times so far and it seems to be doing its job. It's really affordable, too - only Php 270!

Not only does this product purify your pores, it also moisturises your skin, leaving behind supple, fresh skin that looks and feels clean.

Item #3: Tony Moly Panda's Dream Eye Patch

The solution for puffy eyes - Panda's Dream Eye Patch! For Php 60, you get two eye patches (one for each eye duh) which you apply onto the undereye area. Leave this on for 20-30 minutes to brighten, hydrate, and depuff the eyes. It contains bamboo extract to moisturize, niacinamide to brighten and clarify, and aloe very extract to soothe, hydrate and cool the eyes. Whether you're crunching down for a deadline or you're having problems trying to catch some Z's, Tony Moly's Panda's Dream Eye Patch is here to help you look like you've gotten all 8 hours of sleep (and not a second less!).

Item #4: Onsaemeein Yogurt Peeling

My mom actually picked this one and it instantly became a favorite! Yogurt isn’t just a breakfast food, it’s fantastic to exfoliate the skin too. Whisking away dead cells helps to renew skin cell turnover, evening out the skin's natural texture and minimizes enlarged pores. Picking a gentle enzyme-based one like Onsaemeein's Yogurt Peeling helps to gently peel away flaky skin without the irritations abrasive scrubs can sometimes have. This product also helps to keep the skin hydrated, so you'll be left with smooth, supple skin, perfect for anytime of the day.

The first time I used this, I had a dry patch around my cheeks. After massaging it onto my skin for a few minutes, the dryness was gone. Totally buying this again.

Item #5: Nature Republic Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel Mist

Mists like this one are my best friends. I love being able to whip them out any time of the day and feel refreshed and hydrated. Imagine taking the MRT or walking around BGC and arriving to lunch all sweaty and tired. This product prevents that as it is enriched with vitamins and is great for keeping the skin hydrated, soothed and cool throughout the day. The aloe vera used to make this product comes from certified organic farmers in California (CCOF) and is kind to even the most sensitive of skins, making this suitable for all skin types. Whether you like using this to set your makeup or to stay chill on a hot day, this is a definite must-have in your beauty routine!

Item #6: Laneige Water Sleeping Mask

Hmm I don't think I need to introduce this product as it might just be Laneige's most popular item (don't quote me on this! haha). With one sold every 12 seconds, this light gel mask provides intensive hydration, vitality and brightening effect while restoring skin with deep relaxation. This product contains a number of patents including the SLEEP-TOX™ technology that purifies skin during sleep, keeping it in optimum condition while MOISTURE WRAP™ helps skin retain moisture throughout the night. It also has an aromatic SLEEPSCENT™ helps you relax during sleep. Best of all, it’s also formulated with skin soothing agents that are gentle on the sleeping skin, helping it to recover overnight.

A little goes a long way with this one so I think it's pretty good value for the price (Php 1,170 on Althea). I highly recommend using this with the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask, especially if you have dry and chapped lips. P.S. The Laneige Water Sleeping Mask also comes in Lavender.
That's it for haul #3! If you want to get 20% off on your Althea purchase, then sign up through http://bit.ly/AltheaKoreaPH (new customers only!)
