Althea Calming Cream & Bamboo Pads

New items from Althea!

Guess who got first dibs on Althea's newest products? ME! A few days ago, I received their Skin Relief Calming Cream and Waterful Green Bamboo Pads in the mail and I couldn't be more excited!
When I first read about their Skin Relief Calming Cream, I knew it was something I was going to be needing.
It's a soothing facial cream that is supposed to hydrate and restore skin from damage caused by irritation and harmful external pollutants. Since I have sensitive skin, I'm always on the lookout for products that help calm it down and not make things worse. Its main ingredients are: seawater that's packed with natural minerals which contain anti-aging properties for a radiant glow; panthenol which helps keep skin hydrated and soothed while strengthening its barrier; Centella Asiatica extract to help repair the skin from irritation, and a mix of shea butter and hydrogenated lecithin that works to nourish skin and form a protective moisture barrier.
How to use: Simply apply an even layer after cleansing and toning the skin. Gently pat the cream onto the skin until its fully absorbed. If you have the Skin Relief Spot Gel (acne spot treatment) as well, it's recommended that you use it after the calming cream to stop the growth of acne. It's lightweight and doesn't leave any greasy/sticky feeling, so definitely highly recommended!
Another new item from Althea is the Waterful Green Bamboo Pads. I am SO IN LOVE with this one! It can work as a toner pad or mask pad, which I think is amazing. I mean, products that serve dual purpose are, in my opinion, worth investing on.
If you have dry or combination skin like I do, this will probably become a favorite pretty fast. It's a gentle skin care product that can hydrate and prep the skin before applying makeup. It's super easy to use and you get results instantly! It contains EWG green grade ingredients to ensure skin stays healthy and radiant; and bamboo extract which is apparently rich in minerals and amino acids. Finally, it has Willow Barn and Centella Asiatica (same ingredient in the calming cream) to help keep skin smooth and fresh for easy makeup application.
Will also let you guys know how this works on my dry patches around the cheeks. I sometimes get those and the only solution I know is to exfoliate. Althea also suggests using this as a concentrated boost of hydration, so if you want to target certain areas on your face or even other parts of your body, you may definitely do so. The instruction say to place the pads onto the target area and allow your skin to absorb the product for 10-15 minutes then gently pat the remaining product onto your skin.
Oh by the way, the pads are made using a mix of eucalyptus and tencel to create a natural cotton gauze that allows the essence to absorb well into the skin. I seriously love this product - it could very well be my most favorite Althea product to date! So happy and honored to have been one of the first to try it! Thank you, Althea :)
