My family have been patrons of Fortune Hong Kong Seafood Restaurant for years now. Though it was my first time at their branch in Subic, I do frequent the one in San Fernando, Pampanga, as my lola lives there.
Fortune Hong Kong Seafood Restaurant was one of our stops during our weekend in Subic. I love how it was located just beside our hotel Best Western Plus Hotel, so we didn't have to drive or hail a cab to get there!
The meal started off with the chef's special - Lobster in Two Ways (sashimi and buttered with a cheesy noodle base). I've had lobster before, sure, but I've never had it raw. I honestly didn't know it was a thing so I was pretty darn excited to try it!

The lobster is as fresh as it can be, especially since it was alive just few minutes before we ate it. I'd love to have this again, but since it's quite pricey, I think something like this should only be reserved for special occasions. But if your budget permits, go right ahead! It's definitely worth trying!
My friends and I also enjoyed the second way, which is buttered lobster with a cheesy noodle base. I mean, it has cheese, so what's not to like, right? Two thumbs up for this!
Next, we had the Fish Lip Soup which consists of eggs, mushrooms, and of course, fish lips.
It's not something I'd normally order, but I'm glad I was able to try it. The flavor is like maki soup but instead of having mi or noodles, it consists of fish lips. The texture is quite chewy, which makes it more interesting to eat.
Another dish we had two ways was the Peking Duck.
First, we had it skinned and wrapped in dough (made with flour and salt).
Then we had it minced with lettuce. Basically, you just spoon the minced meat into your lettuce cups, add hoisin sauce, and enjoy.
Both have good flavor and textures to them, so I'm proud to say I had more than one of each that afternoon. Haha!
We also had some Angus Beef with Garlic that went really well with their Omelette Fried Rice.
I loved that the angus beef was juicy and served with lots of garlic!
The rice complemented all the dishes really well, including the 8 Kinds of Vegetables.
I don't think I've ever had this many vegetables in one dish, but it was a good mix for sure. I had mostly mushrooms, corn, and broccoli though. Hehe.
And last but not the least, here's their Steamed Lapu-Lapu Kirin Style.
We really got a taste of what Fortune Hong Kong Seafood Restaurant has to offer - from vegetables down to the seafood! Can't wait to explore more of their menu when I return!
