Barcino, Burgos Circle

I’ve gotten to the age where I prefer drinking wine over beer (#TitaFeels), so when Mickey invited me to an evening at Barcino, I immediately said yes!
Barcino
We had a great time catching up and telling stories over sangria, cheeses, pasta, and desserts! After our GNO, I've decided that Barcino is one of the places I highly recommend for girls’ night outs in Bonifacio Global City!
BarcinoBarcino
Barcino Corporation actually imports and distributes wines and Spanish beers in the Philippines, but of course, their restaurant is not limited to just that. They actually have an extensive selection Spanish dishes to offer, so here are my suggestions for when you visit:

Sangria Pitcher Red/White (P840)
Barcino
For those who don't know, sangria is a mix of wine (red or white), some fruits, and brandy. This was the first thing we were served that evening and I just have to say - this is by far the best sangria I have tried EVER. (My family enjoys drinking wine and sangria from time to time, so I've had my fair share.) Barcino's version is more on the sweet side, so my friends and I just couldn't stop drinking it.

Chorizo and Cheese Platter (P1690)
Barcino
Barcino offers numerous platters of cheeses and meats, but if you want the best of both worlds, get the Chorizo and Cheese Platter.

For their cheeses, they have Murcia al Vino, Cured Sheep’s Milk Cheese, Semi-Cured Sheep’s Milk Cheese, Goat’s Milk Cheese with Paprika, Camembert, and Valdeon Blue Cheese. For the chorizo, you'll get Chorizo Bilbao, Chorizo Iberico, Chorizo Picante Frito.
Barcino
You may also order their cheeses and chorizos in separate platters for Php895 each.
Barcino
Patatas Bravas (P225)
Barcino
Another star that night was their Patatas Bravas. These are fried potatoes served with salsa brava, a spicy sauce made with tomatoes, paprika, and other ingredients.
Barcino
The potatoes were fried just right - they weren't too oily or soggy - and each bite had just enough spice to ensure you stay awake the entire evening. Haha!
Barcino
Jamon Serrano (P345)
Barcino
Who doesn't want a plate full of dry-cured Serrano ham? Eating this along with our Chorizo and Cheese Platter made us feel like such fancy ladies that night!
Barcino
Spaghuettis Con Gambas Al Ajillo (P775)
Barcino
This, in my opinion, is one of the best oil-based pasta dishes out there (or maybe it's just the sangria talking typing). A lot of the ones I've tried before ending up being bland, but this one had an extra flavor to it thanks to all the garlic. The menu also described it as spicy, but I didn't feel like it was - I didn't really mind though. Overall, it was a good sharing portion, and I didn't feel like they scrimped out on the shrimps/garlic bread.
Barcino
Paella de Marisco (P735)
Barcino
This was the definite highlight of our entire meal because we finished this down to the very last grain of rice. The Paella de Marisco is their specialty paella with seasonal seafood like squid, prawns, clams, and mussels. It was more on the saucy side - sprinkle some lemon juice on it and it's perfect!
Barcino
Pulpo a la Gallega (P525)
Barcino
Hmm I don't think I've had anything like this before. At first, I thought this Galician style boiled octopus had cheese mixed in it but turns out, it was mashed potatoes and paprika. I wish it had a bit more spice (paprika) in it though.

Croquettas Pollo Y Jamon (P295)
Barcino
This was my least favorite dish that evening. The homemade croquettas with chicken and Serrano ham came out a bit dry and was more on the bland side. Maybe it would've been better if it came out with some kind of sauce?

Barcino
Delicia de Chocolate (P225)
Chocolate soufflé cake with warm chocolate filling served with vanilla ice cream
BarcinoBarcino
Churros Con Chocolate (P195)
Fried doug-pastry with thick warm chocolate sauce
Barcino
Barcino
Tocino del Cielo (225)
Heavenly egg custard Andalusian-style
Barcino
Barcino
Out of the three desserts, I enjoyed the soufflĂ© the most. There's just something about the warm chocolate and vanilla ice cream combo that I can't resist. P.S. I can't believe my friends and I don't have a proper photo together. I really have to remember to take photos with people next time. Haha!

Barcino is located at Forbeswood Heights, Burgos Circle, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City .
