Back at Holiday Inn Makati: Poke Bowls

Here's something healthy to love this summer!

When I heard that Holiday Inn Makati would be bringing back their poke bowls this March, I got really excited! My friends spoke highly of these bowls when they got to try it last year, and since I'm such a sucker for sashimi (and poke bowls in general), I made sure not to miss it this time around.

We headed over to Citron, Holiday Inn Makati's lobby bar where the poke bowls are exclusively available. When we looked through their menu, we found more items we wanted to try, so what did we do? We went ahead and ordered more dishes!

For starters, we had the Pork Rillettes and a huge serving of nachos with sour cream and salsa on the side. I absolutely loved the nachos - the avocados were a nice touch.

Salads are also available on the menu if you're interested.
I skipped this one, to be honest. I had way more nachos than I should have, so I figured I had stop eating and save room for the poke bowls.
Soon, they arrived. We tried all three kinds - the first two are your regular tuna and salmon bowls with edamame, cucumber, mangoes, avocado, nori, and assorted greens. The third one is the spicy tuna with kimchi.
The combination of each is well thought out, but what really sets them apart are the sauces. For the salmon, pair it with their Sriracha Mayo; for the tuna, the Korean Chili. Yummy!

P.S. their poke bowls are priced at Php 360 nett each.
If you're not into poke bowls, there are a lot of other dishes to choose from. You could try the salmon wrap.
How about a cheesy ham-filled sandwich?
If you want something even meatier, I highly recommend these beef skewers.

The fish was really good too, it actually turned out to be one of my favorites.

For dessert, you HAVE TO order the Ube Cheesecake. I didn't expect to like it so much since I'm not a huge fan of ube, but it had a really nice texture to it, plus the white chocolate gave it more oomph.

Finish off your meal with this refreshing Lime Basil Shake. P.S. They have really good mojito too. ;)
Citron Cafe is located at the lobby level, Holiday Inn & Suites Makati, Palm Drive, Glorietta Complex, Makati City.
