Little Zen Sushi, Savour Manila

Find this Japanese food stall at Savour Manila Food Park, Tomas Morato!

Little Zen Sushi
Say hello to Little Zen Sushi - one of the food stalls located at Savour Manila along Tomas Morato.
Little Zen Sushi
My friends and I met up one rainy Saturday afternoon, all ready and craving for some Japanese dishes, and found ourselves here.
Little Zen Sushi
If I remember correctly, Savour Manila has been open for almost three months now, but unfortunately, it's located in the not so popular part of Tomas Morato.
Little Zen Sushi
I've heard of them before, but I really couldn't figure out which part of the street they were on. Apparently, they're right beside Guilly's Island, near Eugenio Lopez Drive (where ABS-CBN) is located. They're also on Waze, if you plan on driving on taking Uber/Grab.
Little Zen Sushi
It's too bad that not a lot of people know about them, since they have a number of interesting food concepts here, one of them being Little Zen Sushi.
Little Zen Sushi
For starters, we ordered their Sriracha Tuna Maki. It has quite a kick to it due to the Sriracha mayo on top. No worries though if you're not a fan of the sauce, I was told that customers may order it with Japanese mayo instead. ;)

I honestly enjoyed this one though. It's not something you'll find in other Japanese restaurants, so props for them for coming up with it.

Next, we had the Spamaki. Two huge slices of spam and egg on top of Japanese rice, wrapped in nori and finished off with some Japanese mayo.
Little Zen Sushi
It was like a breakfast maki and turned out to be one of my favorites that evening. Yum!

Another favorite was the Kani Kani Wave - a crazy delicious and gooey combination of cheddar cheese, mozzarella, nori, corn, and crab meat (kani). Need I say more?
Little Zen Sushi
Little Zen Sushi also serves ramen, which, I think, is perfect for rainy days.. much like the ones we've been having lately.
Little Zen Sushi
We tried the Shio Ramen (salt) and Tantanmen Ramen (spicy). They were both quite comforting considering it was raining at the time and had generous portions for its price (each bowl of ramen costs Php 160 - Php 190).
Little Zen Sushi
We also got ourselves an order of their Chicken Karaage. It has a good flavor to it, but I wish they used boneless chicken thigh for the dish. I mean, it's kind of difficult to eat chicken with just chopsticks.
Little Zen Sushi
Their Poke Bowls are a must try though. They offer both salmon and tuna versions, but we only tried the salmon (they're basically the same naman). I LOVED this. And it's quite affordable at Php 250. To be honest though, I didn't bother mixing it all up. I just ate the salmon and avocados. Haha.
Little Zen Sushi
Since Savour Manila is now open for lunch, Little Zen Sushi decided to come out with bento boxes to cater to the new lunch crowd. And now that I think about it, they actually have a lot of offerings for a food stall. So you'll probably see me here again soon, especially since I love Japanese food!
Little Zen Sushi
But for now, here are their new bento boxes on the menu:

Pork Tonkatsu
Little Zen Sushi
Orange Honey Chicken Teriyaki
Little Zen Sushi
Chicken Karaage
Little Zen Sushi
Herbed Salmon
Little Zen Sushi
Each comes with rice, kani salad, and miso soup. The first three costs below Php 200, while the salmon is at Php 250. I think that's pretty reasonable for all that you're getting.

Cap off your visit with their specialty drink, the Sakura Punch.

Little Zen Sushi is located at Savour Manila Food Park, 238 Tomas Morato Avenue, Quezon City.
